Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

What pressure are you on, and did you have them set it to shift earlier? Also, is launch control functional? What mods are you running?
TCU -5, pressure 3, torque limit off. On car right now I have Lap3 Pro-Tuner, Agency Power CAI, scoops, Ark Mid Pipes, Muffler and resonator delete, and HKS Plugs. Soon to be installed when I have time Is WMI and my catless Downpipes and the ECU of course.
How do you use launch control?
I haven't tried out LC yet, should've last night but will do so today If I find a good empty road. I will turn traction and stability control off and press the brake and and gas as I would normally do and see If Launch Control displays while also paying close attention to how much boost I'm building.

Hard to believe it would be much quicker as 2 is pretty damn fast. As you can see in my log boost almost doesn't even drop as gear change is rapid.

Thanks. Still kind of lost when it comes to reading logs. What's the best way to convert to an image? The Burger software?

Not sure as I use the app for iPhone and I just save it to my iphone

Since I'm hopefully getting my TCU tomorrow - where is the TCU unit located? I know where the ECU is - removed that harness when running the jb4 cable. Is the TCU right there as well?

I recommend disconnecting battery when doing electrical work.

I got the Lozic trio installed and went out for a drive a couple of times about 90 mins each.

I was somewhat familiar with the TCU but now going from level 3 to 2. Shifts are still fast but now don't have that bite that 3 does which I am perfectly ok with.

The AWD module does seems to transfer more power to the front faster but it difficult for a newb like me to know for sure.

First impressions of the ECU are...well maybe I shot too high (1.5bar on 93). It's still early maybe requires more time to adapt but currently JB4 shows on average 4.5 and up to 6.8 timings. JB4 also says that boost is going as high as 26...

What I think is the boost standby feature is somewhat undesirable. Under any throttle more than 10% it sounds like the turbos are spooling and every shift I can hear the stock BOV. Sometimes it does not sound great like when the wastegates are stuck open. Not liking that at the moment but maybe it's something I can get used to.

The thing I can't get used to is the surging or fluctuations under light acceleration. The car becomes what I can describe as an uncomfortable, possibly malfunctioning theme park ride. I can barely keep from larger deviations of pedal input. I used a lower sensitivity on the windbooster and still had a similar effect. I watch the needle/number of the throttle on the JB4 app spaz like a meter on a pressurized line going out of control. Not sure what to make of this.

Sorry for the long post I'll keep at it. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

I received my TCU (-8, pressure 3, torque limit on since I'm rwd). Shipping only took about a week. I have the Tork stage 2 ecu tune and JB4 for meth/ewg. I didn't notice any jerky shifts/downshifts, just that shifting is much faster when WOT. Maybe I'm desensitized lol

I did notice that it stopped auto-shifting with traction control off (stability control still enabled) when using paddle shifters to drop gears right before a pull. Are you guys leaving the nannies on so it auto-shifts during pulls?

Here is a csv of a small 2-4 gear pull and two 2nd gear pulls where it banged off the rev limiter (traction control disabled, stability on, using paddle shifters, T-shifter not in manual mode).

I think you may have to take out the windbooster or at least disable it. Just to see what's really going on. probably don't want any extra throttle sensitivity at this point.

Meant this comment for SnowyGT2...

Thanks for the suggestion. I had it disabled/set to normal at the beginning and then lowered it to ECON later on so the sensitivity is even lower than stock. I should just try completely removing it next time though.

Tough to tell from your logs. Too short of pulls. Also, update to the latest firmware on your JB4.

Go in to JB4 and click BIT 7 to have linear pedal map. Means that boost is "connected" to pedal = 100% pedal is 100% torque/boost and so on. It can be more stable with that. I always run linear pedal with my JB4. Then go back to normal in Windbooster. Good luck!

Just got a response from Lozic regarding automatic upshift:

"If you use the paddle shift to go to manual mode, the automatic upshift is disabled.

The time it takes to change to manual mode with paddle shift and return to D mode was set to 1 minute."

Thanks I will try this. My concern is do I have the JB4 on say Map 6 for the Bit options to take effect as Map 0 disables them? If I do need Map 6 I'll probably need to dial in more settings.

You can go for Map 6 and just put 0 at "Boost", "Fuel Bias" and "Duty Bias at 50" all the other settings I think you ca leave at 0 also. If you have TCU set "Auto Boost redux" to 100 to not interfere by cutting more boost at shiftings.

Maybe it can be that Bit options work also with Map 0, try and see first.

Gents- I just installed my tcu 2 days ago and might actually be getting a different car now. I will know by Saturday if the deal will go through. If so I will have my brand new TCU for sale if anyone is interested. Let me know again I will know Saturday but if your interested shoot me a pm and I will let you know for sure Saturday.

Hey guys, sorry if this question has been asked, this thread is huge and I'm looking for some info and advice.

Is there a good place to read up on the TCU + AWD and JB4 stuff? It all sounds great, but I don't understand all of the parameters being adjusted.. like TCU -5, pressure 3, torque limit off. Seems like some people like the JB4 with the TCU and AWD. I've been trying to find what each MAP does of the JB4, or what MAP I should use, if I get it, for the mods I'm planning?

I don't want to make crazy extra power. I just want a bit better of a driving experience and a little extra power, maybe 50 extra whp and wtq. (Would I need step colder plugs for that or just better plugs?) I don't want blow the motor on the stinger, or anything.

I'm basically just planning on a catback exhaust/downpipes (keep primary cats) and air intakes... maybe a bigger FMIC. Sounds like if I start any tuning I should get better plugs and a step colder if making 75HP to 100HP more. Also, I'll only be running 91, no 93 available in my area.
