The problem is the inconsistency in our fuel. I run 1.3Bar with no issues on 91 Costco. When I had the 1.5Bar tune, there were timing corrections but not bad, though that was in cooler ambient temperatures. I wonder how much different 93 and 91 octane are here in Canada... I don't have 93 where I live though.
I recommend asking him to ramp the boost up slower, more like the tune he made for me and I think for @CoconutRob . It's a lot different from the original and drives well and moves.
@sweetboyed - copying Lozic on this to get his feedback.
Well if you was to get the 1.3 and use it for normal driving. And you have the jb4 so anytime you want to go to the track or crank the power up a bit based on the fuel and octane you put in it. Just add the extra boost on map 6 that would probably work out quite well. Especially if you have to keep your jb4 installed because it's your wmi controller.Wonder what 1.3 bar is like JB4 map wise?
I think he meant like what would 1.3 bar be equivalent to jb4 map wise. Im also wondering the same thing if it would have more power than jb4 map 2 or something.Well if you was to get the 1.3 and use it for normal driving. Think I'm interested in something like you have. 1.3bar with pressure 2 TCU. The Costco I get my gas at doesn't have 91 or 93 octane - but 92. I'm stock right now with plans to get intakes soon. I'm just looking for something a bit faster while keeping it safe.I think I'll communicate this to Lozic. I'm not sure if there is a different mentality in Korea for tuning expectations but when I first got the 1.5Bar tune, I felt the same way. Since then, I was re-mapped to 1.3Bar but I chose my PSI for each RPM based on a Map6 tune I made. Since then, it's been great.
He did make the Pressure 2 TCU tune default based on our feedback.
Faster than Map 2. 0-60 3.8 without TCU. Not sure about 1/4 mile yet.Wonder what 1.3 bar is like JB4 map wise?

Had an opportunity to drive the car quite a bit last night with the ECU and TCU.
Lets start with the TCU, shift pressure 2, the shifts in comfort mode are fast and solid. In sport the shifts are fast and firm. Reminds me of my Evo with the duel clutch SST trans in normal. Overall it is a great improvement. I did not launch the car so more to come on that.
As for the ECU, I have mixed feelings, when doing wide open throttle the car is fast, similar to or I think even a bit faster then the JB4 map 7 (WMI) with additive at 60. Now for the part I am not sure I like, when drive "normally" the car always seems to be trying to build boost, always. Even when cruising at 50 and a slight tap of the throttle it will build 2-3 pounds of boost. When leaving a stop light normally it sounds like the wastegate is wide open then slams shut. On top of that their is always timing being pulled when throttle is open more 20%. Another thing I noticed was a vibration when adding lite throttle at highway speeds, almost like I was driving over a rumble strip on the side of the road, I actually thought I did the first time but I was able to repeat it several times. Summary, WOT is amazing and really quick, normal/part throttle is not great and makes me worry about the car
I plan to reachout to Lozic to see if their could potentially be something wrong with the tune
You just thinking about the ECU only and not the TCU with it? We're in a similar boat.Should I get the ECU now before the price goes up? The only thing im worried about is my stock car since I was planning on getting catless secondaries and intakes but i want to get those before so I can put it on my order sheet
I think my best time was 4.2 but inconsistent because with JB4 the ECU still intervenes. So many runs would be 4.4-4.6... With the ECU tune, it's very consistent. What was your time with JB4?
I want to get the ECU first and then TCU later down the line. You just thinking about the ECU only and not the TCU with it? We're in a similar boat.
So noticeably faster how about on a roll did it feel faster. Damn I flip back and forth on if I want to do this or not....decisions decisions. Maybe go mild on everything and I can get away with it. I have meth and the flex fuel and wondering if they need to know if I want to run E30 to make adjustmentsI think my best time was 4.2

It feels a fair bit more responsive on a roll. Add the TCU and it overpowers all four a little in say a sweeper corner. I'm a big fan of JB4 but the ECU/TCU are fully in control and when you can change them it's just a different game. Kind of like an Audi S4 or M340i launch vs a stock G70 launch. The nannies are off.
If you want a quicker than map 2 tune that works well, just ask Lozic to send you what I got.
