Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Yup, it's 3. It's not mine, but am testing it.

There are already two, at least in the U.S. Tork and Pressertech. Tork's tune is legit and can get you solid 11s. Pressertech's tune is REALLY mild and from the numbers shown on this forum might actually make your car SLOWER (people who have bought Pressertech's tune swear the car "feels" faster but there are no numbers to back their feels). Pressertech doesn't mention Kia anywhere on their website so the only real info on them for the Stinger is on this forum.

And of course there's also LAP3, but they're not stateside.
I can vouch for Tork Stage 1 plus.

Not bad actually. For daily driving i mostly feel it when i come to a stop, it's like it wants to keep going a bit more than usual.

Mine does that with the JB4 setting for DWP set to over 40.

Maybe check that?

Thanks. I am suppose to get the new tcu tune in tomorrow. I am going to see if it shifting me at 5600 - 5700 rpm and shifting faster it might actually clean the timing and stuff up I do hope. He did tell me the power peak for the tune needs to shift at 5600- 5700 at WOT. I do know when I started paddle shifting trying to get around those points most times it did behave better. I hope it also helps my awd tune also.
Hey, get the TCU tune in? I'm guessing you went with the 8% and am heavily curious how its going. Trying to decide between the 5 and 8 myself. After resetting my ECU and driving around normally for a couple days I noticed all my corrections have gone down to 0-.8 as its adapted. Next step is TCU!

Anyone get the AWD upgrade that can give any impressions? It's supposed to adjust the "slip angle", which, as I understand it, changes the start-transferring-power-to-front threshold. Does it do it faster, or slower than OEM? My guess is faster (i.e. allows less slip before starting to engage front clutch), so you'll have less rear-wheelspin in high-power situations, like launching? Does it also help in other situations, like cornering under power?

I'm hoping the TCU enhancements are pretty much stand-alone and can work with a jb4?

The tcu tune just came in yesterday it did seem to help with the ecu timing a little bit as well. I would say that I am pretty happy with the tcu tune. I went with 5% and it does still peak just over 6k in some gears which is above the best power band. The awd tune I was sent was the wrong one so I cannot comment on its performance. Previous best 1/4 time on factory tcu was 11.59Screenshot_20210607-235130_dragy.jpg

Is that on 91 or 93 pump?

@Williamsj41 - Wow, you are really movin' - very nice! Did you spin on launch?

@turboAWD - Yes, the awd tune transfers power to the front faster to maintain traction. TCU works with JB4 - See post from bhamm above.

Yes this things moves and alot of spin in an awd. It even can roast the rear tires trying to launch control and the fronts won't move. That was my first pass without fine tuning 3/4 tank of gas all season tires and no weight reduction.

Well, after just the first pass you're certainly going to go faster. I can see in the Dragy you aren't pulling as much Gs on launch, so with more grip I'm excited to see your time but also scared for your transmission!

Me to I hope it holds I will have to run it soon after I get a few more parts in on the build.

It's not just you man, I'm on the lower end of my 30s and the only modern fad I hate more than diesel trucks rolling coal all over town is the godawful popping tunes everyone likes now. I like noise - like superchargers, turbos, BOVs, even loud exhaust. But that popping shit just sounds broken.

All of that aside, damn that seems quick.
I agree 100$!

I'd be very curious to compare this TCU tune with the Lap3 TCU tune. Lozic is $100 more than Lap3's.
Lozic tcu is $850, looks like the Lap3 one is $1500. I would be curious to see the differences myself. I like that with Lozic you get to pick your options such as adjusting the shift points, removing the torque limit to build even more boost on launch and selecting your shift pressure preference. I'm sure Lap3 has set it to a nice sweet spot that works. Just a major price difference

Lozic is less than half the price of Lap3
Is it possible to get the tune without the popcorn sound? I already like my exhaust set up and don’t need any additional sounds. I have a couple of other mods I’m still in the process of getting first but am reviewing this thread to possibly add this tune down the road.
