Lets talk tuning, piggy back vs ECU flash.

Yes if we were to dig into the TCU and end up with a tune for it we would sell that as well.

Honestly I'm very interested in both the full flash and just a TCU flash to address my issues as a RWD car. My ET streets allow me to come out of the hole like a monster as is, but if I could get the LC 2500-3k, and address the slow shifts, I would be extremely happy with how it runs from a dig.

This is just some shift enhancement we have done in our ECU tune. I cannot get to much into it because anything we say will give it away.

Did you still have access to source blank ecu's to write over since they aren't vin specific? I've been out of the loop when it comes to your flash.

We will still need your ECU to clone the factory file over but we are able to clone it to other stinger ECU's as in we can now get them from Korea and get them at a cheaper cost for everyone.

They aren't VIN specific? Few weeks ago two friends of mine tried to swap ECUs and the car wouldn't start.

They are vin spoecific hence why I stated they would need to send us their ECU to clone

So do you have a time frame on when the flash will be available? I honestly just want the shifting to be better. I'm about out of options at this point as far as power goes without dipping in to the Pure upgrade, which for 6psi more doesn't seem to be worth the $$$.

Our bench flash has been out for about a year now.
 
Exactly that. The cars i've rolled against, even autos, seem to shift so much quicker. I ran a c63 amg and every time i shifted he moved up a bit because his shifts were faster, was irritating.
Maybe it’s something with your car as all Stingers I’ve been in shift just like that in Sport mode.

There’s even been articles comparing our auto to Porsche’s PDK and they said it’s almost on par with shift times. Here’s just one quote about the shift speed from C&D. “Its gearchanges, like those of Porsche’s PDK-equipped cars, are rapid enough to be invisible on the speed trace plotted by our VBOX test gear, which is to say they’re pretty damned fast.“

My shifts are extremely quick and literally “bang” into the next gear especially from 2-3 & 3-4. I’m not trying to take anything away from Torks TCU upgrades as I’m sure they help, I’m just saying stock gear changes in Sport should be almost instantaneous.:thumbup:

Have you driven a proper PDK / DSG car before? There's no comparison between the Stinger gearbox and those; the Stinger's is sluggish from the factory (even in sport mode)

I second that! Stinger tranny vs Porsche PDK--night and day difference (even in sport mode)! Really, no comparison!

Ya, a true pdk car is no comparison to a stinger. I’m not sure what your power level is, but for me, with what I’m making the shifts are lackluster and leave more on the table.

PDK shifts are so quick you can hardly even feel them, it's closer to the feeling of being in a Tesla than our Stingers in sport mode

Aren't the shift points limited to the amount the torque converter can handle?

We have tuned the Stinger using stock spark plugs with no issues. We recommend Plugs when we push more the about 420whp. We also only go by WHP not HP


I don't want anything crazy pushing the limits on my Stinger. Is stage 0 exactly that? Does it match 396 whp like presstechs? Also, what is the usual turn around once you receive it? I figure it would take 3 days to get to you since I'm in NJ, and another 24 ours for the tune, then another 2-3 days for a return? In that case, I might just put up 1k for a loaner on a CC.
