UPDATE: I just did a 500 mile round trip to Philadelphia and ended up fouling a spark plug. I guess these colder ones don’t really like cruise control. I’ve since put the stock
spark plugs back and ended up taking off the LAP3. I could not get the car to function right and always had seconds thoughts when pushing it.
I’m going to wait until more information comes out and/or purchase a JB4/Racechip when they’re available for the Stinger. They adjust more variables, so hopefully I ‘ll feel safer. I hope This information gets passed along to future 2.0 buyers!
What I’ve learned:
- One step colder NGK
spark plugs will foul.
- I had knocking no matter what setting I used. This happened weather I used different gas, put octane booster in, 93 setting, and 91 setting.
- If someone figures out the perfect formula, please message me.
- Maybe I am a little apprehensive since the car never broke down, but I’m just going to enjoy the 2.0 and not worry about a thing now.
- I was never stranded, broke down, etc when using the LAP3. This is MY decision and I’m sure other people are using it with success.
