LAP3 Would you please school me on how you arrived at 10% drivetrain loss? I went and looked at four/five different dyno runs from various people...and everyone shows 15% to 18% drivetrain loss. How do you arrive at 10% drivetrain loss? Your record, if that's what you wanna call it is based on 10% drivetrain loss...Ive been involved with dyno's and cars since 2003 ,and both you and I know that they can be manipulated to suit ones needs .Show me where, or how you arrived at a 10% drivetrain loss....im stumpedWash

I think its safe to say the Stinger is under rated
If they go with a 15% loss, it makes their crank HP rating even higher. You seem to imply the WHP is calculated off the crank HP, but it's just a reading from the dyno itself. This is why baseline runs are important when modding for comparison. Stingers seem to put down stock WHP higher than one would expect for "365" crank HP. I've attributed that to a reduced drivetrain loss as well, but others feel the Stinger is simply underrated from the factory. *shrug*
I think its safe to say the Stinger is under rated so can't be used to calculate drive train loss. 10% is conservative but i do see the intent of tying it back to the stock crank rating. Yours is probably making closer to 560-570 crank hp.
Zyro The only true crank HP is off the engine on a dyno for sure....Im not implying whp is calculated off the crank ...that's correct... its just an algorithm at 5252 rpm where torque is changed into HP on a dyno jet lets say on a given day, and that figure on the dyno takes into account a whole lot of variables It does not make a whit on what box one buys to me...I say buy whatever flips your trigger ....that's why they make chocolate ,vanilla, and strawberryIf they go with a 15% loss, it makes their crank HP rating even higher. There have been a few Stingers dyno'ed on conservative dynos (Mustang & Dynodynamics). These showed more realistic numbers. HP Factory did the dyno dynamics one and showed 292 rwhp stock which would be around 15%. I think everyone is forgetting that all dynos are not created equal.
Haha I didn't even do any math there . You are right, and that's real conservative.20% ***
exactly, if someone wants to really find out if the Stinger is underrated from the factory, they should pull the engine and run an engine dynoThere have been a few Stingers dyno'ed on conservative dynos (Mustang & Dynodynamics). There is a video of one of our customers Genesis G70 running against the 2017+ C63 AMG.Lets just get the 1/4 mile time and see how fast it is. Thats all that matters.
We just like beating vettes, mustangs, bmws etc.
Is your product locked to the VIN?There is a video of one of our customers Genesis G70 running against the 2017+ C63 AMG.
You have to join KATA to watch the video: Korean Automotive Tuning Association KATA

No. It can be transferred to another Stinger GT.Is your product locked to the VIN?
