Lap3 ECU tune

Another successful track night at Capital RaceWay
Huge shout-out to LAP3 for always providing the best and only the best
Ran 11.07 @126.19 and that's moving in my books on top of the slight heat soak we got while staging.
Mods list LAP3 Stage 2.5/Stage 3 TCU
AEM intakes, Lap3 meth kit, Borla catback, NGT catless primarys, Stock secondary's, eibach springs, 4.85 gallons of e85 and rest 93.
Pass seat removed only, rear seats were kept on and with stock hood/battery.
If this isn't proof enough idk what to tell you. I daily my car and drive it everywhere I go. I don't switch or change anything out except for my pass seat which I remove for the track. I drive in sport mode most of the time and the ecu/tcu combo is smooth. I didn't buy or build this car simply for the track, I bought it to be fast when I want to and still daily drive it without any issues. Next track night I'm gonna be fully gutted probably and shoot for high 10s which is definitely doable seeing what I can do with almost full weight.
Stingerman? More like stingerboi

Congrats, trap is impressive! your making big power.

Any news here? All good with the LAP3 ECU, 2.5?

First impression LAP3 ECU, 2.5

Drive for 30 minutes for some adaption first:
  • Very smooth running and shifts, like stock
  • Feels that ignition is higher, better response
  • Torque seems to come on faster without spikes
  • Tried manual first, higher rpm but gently, seems that rev stop is around 7 k rpm and higher revs dont seems so limited like with JB4. Probably ignition here again that is higher
  • Did 1 WOT in auto, feels stronger and log in JB4 looks that boost was around 23 at the most. No problem at all with HPFP, stayed at 10
  • From standing still it seems like faster buildup in boost/rev
  • So, unmanipulated seems very good and faster in asked figures
  • I did leave my Windbooster in "Sport" and it works like I want the pedal. It seems that power is more linear compared to JB4 that will be more crazy when it comes on
It was rainy today so tyres did spun even in 3rd and 4th gear. Will be very nice to do some Dragy soon and also go to Mustang Dyno

"I´ll be back..." so far very impressing!

Hey all, just joined and wanted to post my runs from this morning, I'm tuned with Lap3 Stage 1.5 ECU and Lap3 Stage 2 TCU, along with fbo (oem primaries, oem fmic). My only issue now is hooking my tires at launch, so I think I need to lower my psi a bit for these cold roads. Even with a bit of wheelspin, I broke into 11.16s quarter and a 3.28s 0-60. I think it definitely has lower to go when it hooks and I get the 60 ft lower.

I can't say enough good things about LAP3 and working with David Chung and their community, my car runs incredibly stable and is my daily. I've had zero issues with the ECU or TCU tune. No overboost whatsoever, it's quiet and calm when needed but puts in work on demand. Thank you LAP3!

Obviously I had JB4 before. I have recently moved to LAP3 ECU tune. My best jb4 run on map3 on E was a 12.56.
I installed the LAP3 Stage 1.5 ECU and went and did a dragy run. My test drive yielded great results. No issues or faults or stumbles.
Just stopped and launched and went. I turned a 12.13 on just reg 93 pump gas and nothing else. I have cut 0.5 in the 1/4 and gained almost 5mph in my trap speed.

Now I'm on LAP3 Stage2.5 ECU Tune.
10/22/21 run @ Capital Raceway. Fastest RWD street configuration stinger. On street tires on stock wheels and Pump gas. 11.48 @ 127.33
Thank you David Chung for the work and the ISG removal. I love that the most. The logs look very clean and stable. Couldn’t be more pleased with this tune.
If anyone is looking for the best ECU tune on the market make sure you get Lap3 ECU tune. You won’t be disappointed.

What kind of MPG you get daily driving?

24-25 since I do 80 miles round trip monday-friday. Literally just have it in sport or comfort and cruise all the way lol I don't drive reckless. Having the power you need when I want to race and knowing I can comfortably cruise to work

First impression LAP3 ECU, 2.5 with CPI

Upon the LAP3 box arriving I immediately began pulling out the old ECU along with it's bracket. It is a very simple job with a 10mm socket and some extensions. Once I had the LAP3 2.5 ECU installed I stepped inside the car in order to turn it on. I had to start it up about 4 times before it finally came to life. The smell of the built up fuel was horrible. I took it for a drive to my local E85 gas station in order to fill up with a E50 mix. I drove around for 20 mins or so in order to let the ECU do some learning and adaptations. When I 1st went WOT the car picked up immediately and with a surge in power, I was very impressed. I had a couple of hickups in terms of the correct settings for CPI in the JB4 but once I got those straitened out everything worked flawlessly.

-The shifts driving around normally are very smooth and now the throttle seems very linear in comfort.
-The extra timing makes the top end of the car at 6k RPM come alive.
-Torque seems to come on faster right at the beginning and stays smooth.
-In manual I even get some pops in comfort when downshifting.
-I ran some logs on the JB4 and AFR is buttery smooth, along with boost and timing.
-No problem at all with HPFP, stayed at 10-11 even while running E50 which the most I was able to do on jb4 was E45.
-On JB4 my most aggressive Map6 would only be useful if I wanted to really go fast but it wasn't practical for daily driving because of the hpfp crashes on E45.
-looking forward to trying out even higher ethanol mixes to see how far it'll go.

Previously I was on JB4 with CPI matches with a Lozic TCU. My best 60-130 jb4 run on map6 on E45 was a 9.27. Now with the LAP3 2.5 tune I was able to run a 60-130 in 8.40 seconds. This is with full interior and OEM wheels. I was never able to even brake into the 8s with just the JB4.

Now to review the extras. The disabled ISG (Idle Stop and Go) is very nice and allows me to forget about pressing that darn button every time I turn the car on. I chose to have the pops set up for sport mode only and with my current X-Force exhaust set up and OEM primary cats I think they sound good and aren't too loud. So far the logs look very clean and I am more than pleased with the regular drivability and performance that this tune provides.

For whoever wants the best ECU tune on the market for our platform look no further you've found it.

Wanted to thank David Chung for the quick communication and answering all my questions. Also big thanks to Charlie @Cashby31 for helping me set up the correct CPI settings in the JB4.
