Ooo I like this thread. My 2 recent stories mean nothing because who knows what these folks have under the hood and if they were really trying -- or maybe they don't know how to optimally drive their cars, etc. Played with a BMW M4 on the freeway before getting my down and mid pipes; seemed pretty equal but at the same time hard to tell bc it was a short lived run. Fun though. He seemingly wanted to keep going more times but I had to get off. Then another time I could see an Audi S4 (recent model) bolting towards me on the freeway in my rear-view mirror. Got behind him and he did what seemed to be his best pulls and it was all too easy for me to keep up and then some so I let him go rather quickly bc light work.

Absolutely killed an ‘06 manual 5.0 tonight even asked “what the hell is that?!” Not too long after that driving spiritedly down the highway I run up on a bmw m6 fairly new and boy did I shock the sh*t outta him (didn’t beat him, as he was reeling me in at 120+) but, nonetheless his car is worth about 2.5 stingers lmaoo
BTW I’m on jb4 map 2 and intakes that’s it

06 Mustang is a 300hp 4.6, unless it had an engine swap, which he wouldn’t have been easy to walk away from of that was the case. Don’t count those 3valve 4.6 V8s out. The right mods and gears and they are real fun

A win is a win especially on anything with 2 or more cylinders than us, but I’d count that run in with the m6 as a half win haha

Got a Dodge Challenger entering the freeway. I pulled out to pass and as soon as I did he started to go so I punched it, I don't think he was expecting my Kia to be as fast as it was.

Some V8 F150 kept revving at me and he moved over to line up beside me at a light. I was just matching him until I heard his engine screaming and I just dropped the pedal. He gave up super easy after I pulled away like 4 car lengths.

Wasn't fair for him obviously but now he knows better

There I was, just minding my own business coming back from the Outer Banks, NC on Highway 17 heading south. I could see a GT 5.0 in my rear view kind of creeping up, one car at a time, in and out of lanes. I could tell he was scoping the car out and trying to make a play. I played his game and eased over to the right lane where I sat patiently... Simultaneously I flipped to Sport and rotated my wiper switch to Map 7 (Meth). I knew how this was going to go down but needless to say after pulling along side of me he just stomped it. Without hesitation I chased, caught, and gaped him before he could switch into 4th gear. It wasn't my first mustang kill but this one was special because he picked me out. Not sure how he was going to take that defeat and shear embarrassment, but he gave me the thumbs up and took the next exit.

Not a drag race, but...

I was running some twisty backroads in my area while testing the new sway bars when I came across a late model A4 3.0T poking along at 10-15 over.

I started drafting a bit to make my point and he decided to play, but his technique was shit. He’d get scared and park it on the corner entries, then tr to make up for it by hammering the throttle to drive off the apexes. Every time he put the wood to it I would see a puff of black from his exhaust, so I’m guessing he had a tune?

I waited for a passing lane and took his lunch money, with a 5 car gap into a late-braking uphill left-hander. He couldn’t keep his lights in my mirrors after that, so I waited for a minute at a stop sign so he could give the obligatory thumbs up.

After the sway bars, I can say that this car handles about as well as a 4,000lb AWD sedan could be expected to. It tracks flat through the corners, holds a solid line over pavement inconsistencies and bumps, and stays absolutely planted when you initiate cornering while hard on the brakes. The Michelin Primacy Touring tires are currently the weak link, but I’ll resolve that part soon enough.

Here's a funny one. Heading to the Outerbanks on 17 N this time and my drive was pretty uneventful until...... bam...., a blacked out charger minding his own business cruising 70 in the left lane. What did I do? Yup, antagonized him! After punching it and reaching a quick 85 the chase was on! Unfortunately that was un unmarked cruiser and he wasn't entertained at all. I obviously pulled over pretty quick and expected the worst. Well, that cop was cool as hell! He did his job by telling me to keep it on the track and left me with a written warning. Counted my blessings on that one!!

I let him catch up and yell nice infinity bro while his girlfriend is laughing her guts out. He stomps on it again maybe thinking he has a chance without launch I proceed to pass him easily. His girlfriend was still laughing

You joke but I was actually thinking the owner is probably a senior citizen who wasn't really participating in the race. Or maybe it was an M7 and the driver couldn't shift. Also, maybe Mersy is modded and the C7 was stock.

Old guys love the look lol. My last one was fierce under throttle. My gt2 is well modded and really quick but they are in different leagues. A stock gt2 is just not an overly quick vehicle in the performance category, but it can be quick with the right Adds. C-7 are just damn fast in every respect. My last c6 was lightly modded running low 12’s all day on runflats
