Kia! Why not manual on stinger?!!!

I don’t know think it’s a complement to compare Kia to Honda. But Civic in my opinion has nice interior for a low $20k car. Some might even say euro. One thing for sure steering wheel felt and looked higher quality in Honda Civic than in Stinger. Kia could have classed up the wheel.

Gotcha and guess just agree to disagree.

I do understand and agree in all those things too, but even for a $60k+ vehicle. I would agree with you that a Honda Civic would be equal to Kia’s interiors 10 years ago, but not lately and especially not in my Optima SXL & Stinger GT2. I honestly feel that my GT2 is very similar to a S7 and undoubtedly closer to it than a Civic.

You may not be intentionally trolling, but IMO comparing my GT2 to a Civic just hurts every bone in my body.:cry:Lol ok that’s going overboard but you get my point.

So again respectfully agree to disagree and Go Team Stinger!

@CaliSting enjoys tugging people by the tail. I feel that this is all a rehash of weeks of talking about how the Stinger's shortcomings somehow disqualify it as a luxury ride, ergo "no gran turismo here". I also disagree, because money talks: and Kia has come close in all the particulars for two-thirds to half the price tag. "Cheap luxury"? Okay. Luxury is a feeling, not a price tag. If the Stinger can deliver the feeling without costing nearly as much, then that is a success story. "Sting!"

But the Civic doesn't even have passenger doors. And missing a B pillar.

10-15 years ago it would have been a complement to compare Kia to Honda, but now Kia has vehicles that match or outclass cars from Acura, let alone Honda.

But I do agree that they have really improved the Civics interior. My mother and sister both had many generations of Civics and the latest is by far the best yet. However, so have almost every other $20k-25k car. They all have come a long way with features and quality.

I haven’t seen the new Civic in person to compare the steering wheel, but agree there is room for improvement. Wish the Stingers could have been thicker like the BMW Ms, but still appreciate the D shape and nice leather.

All I was saying is besides the Kia badge the Stinger GT2 is every bit a true GT like a S7 or Panamera. That’s why there’s no manual available because theres just not enough market for it in that category. Hyundai is simply taking the bet that the smaller G70 will compete with BMW 1-3s & Audi 3-4s where a manual option is common.

1. This is a GT car. A GT car is supposed to be all about luxurious highway cruising. Manuals, unfortunately, don't help with that.

2. Fewer options lowers the price by streamlining the manufacturing process.

3. Not enough people want a manual anyway.

4. No launch control with a manual.
If you can control a Couch Properly
It in itself is Launch Control !!!!
