Two Sets of Wheels? Get Two Sets of TPMS Sensors!
Thank you for the article. My plan is to trade in my stock rims. Over here in Singapore, we only have summer and not required to switch between different set of tires. For my case, I believe it will be wasteful to trade in with the TMPS with my stock rims. 1 time effort to transfer to my new rims seemed like a reasonable option?Read this article:

Thanks guys. A very good reminder. Wouldn't want to give the TMPS as a free gift to the wheels shop.Yes - most people are getting a 2nd set of rims so that they can easily switch between summer and winter tires, so you would want a full set of sensors in both sets ot rims. In your case, yes, just remove them before getting rid of the original rims.
From what I've read, the car automatically recognizes a second set without any calibration required, or at least it will if they are the OEM TPMS. Nothing special on the installation. The dealer price I was given on these is over 100 each, so I have four OEM units coming from South Korea from an Ebay purchase, on an apparently very slow boat. No hurry at this point, hopefully we are now past what was a pretty evil winter for snow. I will have a set of snows on rims built in preparation for next winter. Are these pretty easy to install yourselves? And just plug and play. No calibration required?

Just a quick update, finally had the summer tires put on the car and within 5 kms they registered and reported the pressures.
No calibrations, just install in rims and good to go.Nice. So no additional calibrations? I’m actually buying a new set of wheels now and already have these TPMS waiting to be installed once everything arrives.
If I swap a gt2 wheels from another gt2, are there any issues with tpms programming? When I took delivery of my gt2, I found a curb rash on one of the wheels. My sales guy says it cant br swapped because of the tpms, but from reading this thread, I dont think it's a problem.

Did the OEM sensors sync on their own? Does you car show the pressure for each wheel?
