Kia Stinger Navigation Map Update

Just got off the phone with KIA premium care and they are sending the updated map card free of charge.

Thank you so much for this information. Just called the number you provided and they were super helpful. Just bought my car 2 weeks ago and the Map version i have is 2 updates behind. They are sending me a new version 12 SD card for free since my car is so new. Thanks again for the great info!

I confess that I have not looked but where do you find which MAP version your nav is running?

Thank you-I am on the phone with KIA as I type and the rep is getting me a new sd card. He said the same as posted above the car has the card for the version at the time of the build. Not a dealer installed/stocked item which would perhaps make more sense.

Card is ordered-takes about 4 weeks he said. Hopefully I don't get lost in the meantime.

Thats awesome...i didnt get a resolution that quick...i am still waiting to hear back on the "case"

Perhaps i need to call whomever you all are talking too as you are getting much faster response and resolution than I.

I talked to a guy...it sounded like his said his name was Micah. Super helpful and friendly.

Never hurts to ask. The worst they can say is no.

Interesting. I called the 855 number in post #7 of this thread and was told 4 weeks. Guess I should have called your 800 number!

Just got back off the phone on the 855 number and was given an order number plus advised 4 weeks Perhaps the 800 number is faster to process.

otherwise, 4 weeks is better than a "nothing we can do about it!"

I've just had mine over a month, I can wait for a few weeks, free is free cant beat that.

Thats the number i orginally called, the 855 number, but they when Micah called back today he left me this 800 number should i have any more questions.

Just spoke to Micah and he is a really nice and concerned guy. He is going to get my map update out to me Monday. He also mentioned that he keeps an eye on the forum and though in his capacity he cannot comment or post he does take note of peoples concerns and passes the issues forward. I would highly suggest people give him a call if you need assistance!

How are the digital rights set up on the SD update? Ie how do they keep us from duplicating or sharing it?
