Always takes my car about an hour to do the update. Then again I also have 2022 so no SD Card.
DJ, what model year is your Stinger? I have a 2022 GT-Elite, but live in the US. I have updated the Nav last Spring but the website says the '22 update is NOT available now (Oct 2022). Also, I can not ever signup or used myuvo.ca-- because it will not accept my address.I have the battery logs.... If you wanna see ..
I updated from 10:12 to about 10:48. Engine off, just my strong OEM battery. No external power/tender
Plotted along with coolant temp so you can see when I started
I think Kia didn't fully think through this SoundHound feature.
When you click the sound hound icon while listening to FM, you get.
And when you go to www.myuvo.ca (on a computer) there is absolutely nothing regarding setting up SoundHound.
Oh, and ... Good thing I wasn't using the inbuilt maintenance tracker .,. Cause this software update reset that without warning.
Mine is 2018 GT Limited , Canadian.DJ, what model year is your Stinger? I have a 2022 GT-Elite, but live in the US. Can the Oil Temp be plotted? That's the important one.

Mine did most of the update after I switched the car off.Always takes my car about an hour to do the update. Then again I also have 2022 so no SD Card.
I'll have to do it that way some time. But honestly, it's kinda nice just randomly driving around back roads later on when there's less people on the road.Mine did most of the update after I switched the car off.
I left it in until after I had restated and then shut down again. It seems like all of my settings got carried over.I'll have to do it that way some time. But honestly, it's kinda nice just randomly driving around back roads later on when there's less people on the road.
I'm assuming you need to leave the USB thumb drive in after you shut it down.

I have an ISG. memory module, mine is set to have ISG off, can’t stand the feature.I've only ever done the updates sitting in my garage with the car in accessory mode engine turned off.. But i know my battery is good since i never use auto start/stop and don't do short trips. Just guessing but running in acc mode updating the nav/infotainment probably is less stressful to the battery than 2 or 3 autostart/stops in a short trip.
It should be. KIA NAVIGATION MAP UPDATE > NotificationsI can't tell if the update is available for my 2018 GT2.
It is.I can't tell if the update is available for my 2018 GT2.
Can anyone that's done the update confirm this? I feel like I should be outraged (lol) but honestly don't think I've ever used the nav's interface to make a call. Always using android auto anyway.Someone from a Stinger FB group posted that after the latest update the only way you are able to call someone is by voice command now. Attempting to call using the screen results in a message that states to park the car in order to do so.

That's always been that way. I can confirm though that I was able to use the steering wheel buttons to make a call as I've always been able to. I haven't yet tried to make one from the screen.I can't comment on calls (phone in airplane mode 99.9% of the time when driving). However, keyboard search (for nav) is locked out when not in park.
Do you mean manual dialing on the number pad, or not even using your Bluetooth-linked address book. I always use the screen to dial family/close contacts from my address book because the voice control is so pathetic. If they have removed this feature, I will be very annoyed.I confirm...
I don't have a picture, but you can no longer dial from the car screen while driving
A passenger in the vehicle can also NOT dial from the passenger seat.
