To be fair they are quite a bit faster than our cars, stock v stock. We just need some videos of Stingers beating Camaros to silence more of these sad haters...![]()
What a " WAYNE KER "Now this guy is a real Wally. Please view his video on YouTube and give him your honest thoughts, I did. He drives a Camaro but he thinks Kia Stinger owners are posers. Give him a serve of of his own medicine guys
Ford dealers......rows and rows of mustangs with 2 star safety rating and no buyers. What a " WAYNE KER "he is, im just guessing that's his name, he made me upset, how narrow minded , im sick of hearing comparisons to BMW or Audi or Mercedes or any other brand, that is why im happy too keep the KIA badges, in my opinion the Stinger is beautiful and graceful, and is closer to those other brands in many ways than Camaro is., 0 - 100kph times do not concern me. BMW, Audi or even a AMG do not turn heads like Stinger does, im so proud to own such a rare, never seen before KIA just making its first presence to roads around the world, only the exotic supercars really turns heads, just like Stinger, Aussie members will understand, Ford Mustang was released here a few years ago, and now when i see one, its like whatever, but i know if im driving my Stinger i will turn my head to look at another Stinger.
Anyway, that was my two cents, now i need a coffee and calm down..haha
So stock for stock on a drag strip they are a hair quicker.
Motor Trend shows the 2018 Camaro SS 0-60 in 4.1 seconds and the 2018 Mustang GT at 4.4 seconds. So stock for stock on a drag strip they are a hair quicker. The Camaro claims 455HP so it should be a lot quicker than that. Depends on where your priorities are.
Exactly a point im trying to make, so if a person buys a Camaro or Mustang, they are not the fastest cars in the world, there is always another car faster, Stinger buyers do not settle for a Stinger because they really wanted a Camaro or Mustang or something else faster, i wanted Stinger for the great car that it is, im proud of Kia,
but angry and embarrassed for Holden, once a diehard Holden fan and former employee, still with discount, i bought a Stinger, not a Holden with discount.
That's funny. I owned a Holden (sold as a Pontiac GTO, but I'm sure you know that whole deal) a decade ago. 2006 Brazen Orange Metallic. Thoroughly enjoyed that car...until our second son was born and I accepted that it isn't made to fit more than 2 people.
Still have mine with 97,000 miles. Love the 6-speed. Bright blue metallic - looks like new. Great car! Repair-free except for a clutch slave cylinder.
Very Happy to hear your Holden built Pontiacs have served you well.Still have mine with 97,000 miles. Love the 6-speed. Bright blue metallic - looks like new. Great car! Repair-free except for a clutch slave cylinder.
I originally fell in love with and wanted to own a blue on blue GTO. I talked about it so much that a co-worker (the Corporal in charge of me at the time) bought one. He called me late one night and told me to look out of my living room window. He was sitting there in my dream car! I wanted to kill him. He wrecked his a few months later, repaired it, and sold it to a kid in Kansas. A couple months later I finally got mine.
To this day I believe he only bought it to spite me.
I was really surprised when GM came out with such a bland looking car in what they knew would be the last model year the Corvettes would use the LS1, and then really stepped things up the very next year. It'd be like if the base stinger came out with the 2.0t engine then for 2019 they changed the exterior and gave the base 300hp with a new engine. It'd be a whole different ball game and the original adopters would feel pretty crummy.I looked at the '04 GTO that first came out with the 5.7L 350HP engine and passed on it. I had purchased several Pontiacs from my favorite salesman at the local dealership and in '05 he called me at work one day and said he had an '05 I might want to see. I drove right over and watched a blue on blue being off-loaded from the transport. 3 miles on the clock. I told them to pull the keys and I'd call them next morning to talk price. To this day I believe he knew I liked blue and he ordered that car to tease me into buying it when the 400HP LS2 came out. He denies it, but I still think he knew that I knew he ordered it.
So you're saying we should just... shake it off?Haters are going to hate .

Ahh I thought the taillights changed too. Either way it was an improvement. Who wants a big V8 with single exhaust?
Agreed. I was not a fan of 4 doors until after our son was born. Having young children can change one's priorities greatly, and overnight. The idea of reacting to a kid in a WRX wanting to street race loses all luster when you see your child in his carseat and realize you are responsible for more than just yourself.Exactly! Stingers offer more than a big V8 and wide tires. Camaro/Mustang have nothing to offer over a Stinger EXCEPT acceleration.
