Now this guy is a real Wally. Please view his video on YouTube and give him your honest thoughts, I did. He drives a Camaro but he thinks Kia Stinger owners are posers. Give him a serve of of his own medicine guys.

The "reviewer" says he is confused. I agree completely. He also seems to feel threatened. Yes, haters are gonna hate...

I can accept that there are other cars out there that are faster than the Stinger, and maybe even less expensive. But I bought my Stinger for the total package that it offers - 4 door plus hatchback practicality, all-wheel drive, great value / quality / reliability / warranty. And more than enough performance for this 60 year old guy. I realize that there are some people for whom only an American muscle car will do, or only a german sports sedan will do, and that's fine. And naturally people are going to justify their car purchase as if they did an extensive scientific comparison of every available model. It would be a boring world if everyone drove Stingers.

I get that people want to jump at the power/performance/drag strip/street race/race track argument (not directed at your, mldavis2) whenever Mustangs or Camaros are involved but I think that does our cars a disservice. Our cars aren't even close to the performance of what Ford, Chevy, and Dodge are making (1+ second in a 1/4 mile is an eternity on the strip (maybe 3-5 car lengths?) ). Stingers weren't created to compete with muscle cars.

There are plenty of areas where our cars trump theirs, though. I think we should focus on those areas instead of performance on a drag strip.

I agree that trying to compare 2 door muscle cars to our 4 door GT cars is Apples to Oranges, but its actually the pony cars trying their best to compete with us.

Luckily our cars already out class them in every area besides straight line performance so that's the only thing they can try to hold against us. The main thing those cars have going for them is the "bang for the buck" 0-60 & 1/4m times, but now our Stingers have been indirectly added to that group. This is causing Camaro, Mustang & Challenger owners to be defensive so now we're getting "hater" type of videos like the "Wally/Wanker" above.

So as I said before the only way to get through to them is when Stingers start beating them at their own game. Even though Stingers weren't made to compete with muscle cars with a little work we are already matching their incredible numbers! High 12s Stock and 12.1 with just intake, exhaust and a chip means they are in trouble. I think this truly shows how well rounded Stingers are that Kia directly compares us to Luxury GT sedans like Porsche, Audi & BMWs yet we can still closely compete with hardcore muscle cars! "What an amazing car" is what everyone will be saying soon, just give it time.
