From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Stated prior that it has been sales of the 2.0T that has been the disappointment and what has dragged Stinger sales to be lower than expected.

In this article about booming Telluride sales, Bell (Director of Corporate Communications for Kia here in the US) reaffirms that...

The Telluride's sales figures are even more impressive when you realize that the most sought after model by customers is the highest SX trim with the Premium Package. Bell said Kia noticed a similar phenomenon with the Stinger, which was initially expected to have around a 70-30 percent sales split in favor of the four-cylinder model.

"Very early on, our product planning learned that should have been swapped over [in favor of the V6]," said Bell. "We've even trimmed down some of the trim offerings on the four-cylinder turbo. There's just not as much action on the base model as there is on the six-cylinder."

Buyers Are Spending Big On Hot-Selling Kia Telluride

Now, maybe the upgrade to the 2.5T (along w/ offering all the tech/amenities available in the 3.3TT/3.5TT? for the top trim of the base engine; remains to be seen if they will do this) will improve sales of the base engine.

Can't even get the 2.0 in Canada any more. Was dropped for 2020.

^^^Agreed. The last SUV I enjoyed driving was my wife's 2008 MDX SH-AWD. 300hp and that aformentioned SH-AWD, it handled and accelerated like no SUV I've ever driven.

My wife has a Sorento with the "regular" V6. It just feels so dull to drive. Now, if they threw in the V6TT in that one, I can easily change my tune. :)
I have the 2019 Sorento LX Premium V6 3.3 AWD and I love it! 290 hp naturally aspirated... great buy.

Though I love the amenities, functionality and the like about my wife's Sorento, the V6 in it is OK...hence my suggestion of putting in the Stinger's TT V6 instead. If you ever get the chance, take a drive on a 2008-13 MDX SH-AWD. For whatever reason, that Acura's 300hp SOHC VTEC V6 sounded and ran so good. Not to mention, the SH-AWD made it a shockingly good handler. It would just hug the corners in a cloverleaf with confidence.

Everyone keeps talking about the sales numbers failing but from what I've seen in my local area is the dealership is having trouble getting them. We've gotten 3 units and the first two were sold before they were unloaded from the truck and the 3rd is the one my gf ordered in January that just came on Monday. Took almost 5 months to get her Stinger and in the 1/2 day it was parked at the dealership 2 people tried to buy it out from under her. Lol. Maybe this is only true for my area but seems like if they were more available the numbers might be a lot better.
