Kia Stinger face lift

This 100%. Kia doesn't market the car properly at all. It may be a "halo car" but it's not an exotic, and it's not from a brand people associate or trust for performance. There should be ads that just show this car beating rivals on a drag strip, show it drifting, get some Charger and A5 drivers in one and blow their minds. It's like Kia is afraid of rocking the boat or something.

They actually did hold a big press event with a ton of YouTube reviewers, and big names like C&D, etc. I believe they had the A5 there, along with a 3 series or 5 series and a Panamera. The problem is that was over 2 years ago and now long forgotten.

To break into the luxury market is not an overnight success, it takes years and lot of cost do to so. I think the question is whether Kia is willing to try that hard, or if the long term luxury plan will be exclusive to Genesis, and any other luxury offshoots will be derivative of Genesis vehicles (shared chassis).

Hopefully the new Sorrento looks nice, the current one is way too van looking to me. Kind of like the Dodge Journey.
I think they did a nice job , especially the interior :

Had to pick up my son at the Subaru/Hyundai dealer after dropping off his Outback for its service tomorrow. Arrived and one sales guy was standing outside and said “very nice vehicle”. When we left there were 3 of them lurking around the Stinger. Wonder how many knew what it was with no Kia badge on it. Lol.

So, 3.5L and sequential turn signals in the rear, with the lit up middle bar. Looks good. But I like the first model look just fine. Over time, it will mark out the first couple of years as increasingly rare.

Is there an official source saying the refreshed model will have the 3.5L? That alone might be enough for me to make the jump...

Isn't everything out of Korea "official"? They're the first to know.

That first pic is a lot clearer. But then they zoom in on the "face" in the exhaust pipe pic, for what possible reason?

Probably to show the exhaust tip are larger in size from the current ones.

I think there is high potential thew face lift will not disappoint, Kia recently is killing it in the design department while many German and Japanese cars look bland and repetitive.

Anything will stand out compared to a Subaru, I can't believe people still buy these ugly cars. :D

Agree - The spokes are OK, but definitely not loving the giant star in the center caps. "Texas Edition" Stinger, anyone?

It is so obvious the designers come from BMW's M division. Those guys love the thin multi-spoke wheels. These look like the 666M style in a way.

My '05 LGT wagon was one of the better looking wagons around, IMHO. I'd actually buy another one with enough updates, etc.. Great visibility all around, quick, family friendly, etc.. Sure, from a "sports car" perspective, the Stinger wins. But from a "functionality is beautiful" perspective, it was hard to beat the LGT - and it wasn't THAT hard on the eyes..

those rims are what was shown on the 25th anniversary stinger. as a side note, how and why was it a 25th anniv edition? was it because kia has been in the u.s. for 25 yrs maybe.
It was Canada, and it was the 20 year anniversary of Kia in Canada, if I recall correctly.

Agreed. BMW design has been especially bland since 2014 on the 3 and 4 series. The new 3 series is so generic looking! WTF Germany, looks like a Camry, except not as exciting!!!! My goodness.
