3.3TT Kia Stinger Aftermarket Exhaust Information and Discussion

Does anyone know anything about Agency Power's valvetronic exhaust system. It's for sale on their website, but no videos anywhere. I also have to sign a waiver since the exhaust isn't "street legal."

AP is getting a bad reputation for poor quality and bad customer service (and yes, I’m jaded as I was one of those).

There are a ton of EVC exhausts out there.

I’m new to aftermarket parts. Do exhausts usually only come as cat backs? Do most not include the down pipe as well and is something you usually have to buy separately?

Alot of the EVC offerings don’t sound so good or are ridiculously expensive though. At $2300 CAD the AP exhaust is definitely cheaper than the other EVCs. Not having any sound clips or any information about it is definitely red flags though.

Stay away from vivid racing. Ordered cold air intake paid in full, when parts arrived 2 passenger air boxes 2 driver intake pipes. Well 2 months later correct parts arrived so I thought there reducer from intake to turbo won’t work wrong size. There intake pipe is 2 3/4” outside diameter ,inside diameter of there reducer is 2 1/2”. Should have been 2 3/4” to fit intake. Today I’ll be going from auto part stores in hopes of finding something uesable. Hope u read this post before u purchase from VIVID RACING/AGENCY POWER

Am I crazy or can you not buy an axle back exhaust for our cars anymore? SSR, PF motorsports, Tork and NGM are all unavailable.

So the NGM Delta is actually available and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for better performance/sound at half the cost of other exhausts. Fairly tame on a cold start but once you start laying in to its a beautiful sound. I'll try and get some nice audio clips when I have some free time.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of the CEL that Stingers throw with catless donwpipes? (besides the lap3 pro tuner/already have JB4 w/ WMI)

Sorry I keep clogging the thread up but here's a video of the ngm delta:

Probably same as stock at cold start/idle but sounds much more aggressive when on the throttle.

Borla S Type+JUN BI mids

We need some revs my friend!

I agree. Need some revs! I'm following this thread to see what's out there. Just got my Stinger a month ago. I have to wait a bit before getting an exhaust. Keep the vids coming!

Borla and Quicksilver mids is a pretty good option. Or was, untill Quicksilver got rid of the discount. Unless someone really wants a pair of silenced mids. Anyways it sounds great, waaaaaaaay better than my pre muffler cutouts

I'm definitely looking for the best combo that provides the most gain but keeping the sound tame, with a low note.

Bought a number of items there, no issues. Rob's in most of the Stinger FB groups as well.

Feel like I read this a few times but want to be 100000% clear. The 51mm x 89mm tips will work for the Borla S type exhaust correct?

Just thought I would put my 2 cents here about the XForce Varex exhaust and my experience. I have listed below my gripes that have led me to replace the exhaust with the Borla S-Type with Jun, B.L Secondary downpipes (I have been in another stinger with this setup, day & night difference).
  1. The drone - absolutely immeasurable. If you sit in the back seat, you are guaranteed a headache. My father and I were on a longer journey, he was in the back and he complained many times. If you have music on level 15+, with exhaust open, it almost echos in your skull. Highway? No way with valves open. While open, the backseat is a terrible place for someone to sit. Many people have said "just close the vales when someone is in the back?" This leads me onto my next point;
  2. Quality - very poor. On install, the left muffler valve was faulty and this was replaced (took 3 weeks) - OK, no issue. Over the course of the next 2-4 months the valves had numerous issues (wouldn't open/close on first try (or subsequent multiple tries), would intermittently one side cut out all together and not work for a week. After this continued for 4-5 months, the rear muffler valve simply stopped - completely dead. Spoke to the shop, they mentioned to come in and have a look but at this point I was so sick of the constant drone that I couldn't disable (it really, was, immeasurable) that I just ordered the Borla S-Type based upon opinions from people on here with it and visual look. One month later (I made a post about this, as was quite concerning), a rattle emitted from the car on acceleration that was very loud. Took into the dealer, turns out the rattle is from the resonator, and they recommended to contact the company for replacement - this simply made me more eager to get rid of it and receive my Borla.
  3. Sound - so this is a pro and con. Up high, the exhaust does sound great, really nice tone and almost wants you to keep going while accelerating. However, in town it sounds very muffled down low and almost cheap - which I was not a fan (just my opinion).
Overall, I would not recommend the product. As a side note, the exhaust is not legal in Australia for road use (however not XForce fault, the shop never told me this when I went in asking about it to purchase). Here is the exert from their website: "XFORCE products are for race/off-road use only, not road/street use unless otherwise advised. "

Get tips for the Borla. I am pretty happy with it paired with the QS mids. Just drones a bit but the tips should fix that.
