Been pretty interested in the Thermal offering. Still enjoying it?I have the Thermal exhaust. Sounds good and no drone! Build quality is too notch.

Just slam the house door really loud as you leave... then the exhaust won't wake them up! - problem solved!Did you do just the catback or also the tips?
How loud is it on a cold start? My concern is waking up everyone in the house when I have to leave at 6am for work. :/

Do you have access to the back side of the stairs, or is sealed? if you have access you can spray foam them, or add some 3/4" plywood and construction adhesive to stiffen them up...HAHAHAHA!
You'll get a good laugh out of this...
So I'm on the second floor with my gf. Her parents on the main floor right under us. I am heavy (220 pounds) and when I try to walk down the old steps of the house it can be heard in the basement. I always feel so guilty because certain days I have to leave at 6am and other days at 8am or maybe even 9am depending on the location I'm going to. The worst part is I work on Sundays and sometimes Saturdays so when they want to sleep in I wake them up... ugh...

Alternatively add a fire pole to slide down and skip the stairs altogether! or buy them earplugs lol
Yup! Absolutely love it. No regrets.Been pretty interested in the Thermal offering. Still enjoying it?
Spray foam if you can get to the back of the stairs is the best (and pretty cheap) option, it will both "glue" all the treads and risers together as well as block the sound of the footfalls on the treads... so kill the squeaks, (loose nails from the wood trying over time) and thumps (feet hitting the steps)Not my house and can't do anything. It's a very old house. I've only recently moved in here and should be out within a year or so once this COVID nonsense settles.
I might ask if there is something I can buy from home depot (father in law is a real man unlike me and works with his hands so probably knows how to deaden the sound) to ease the noise.
Haha earplugs...
Gotta be able to listen in case a "peaceful protestor" wants to break in and steal something over here... thank goodness for the dogs...![]()

If you can fill the entire cavity great... but it depends how how big the staircase is, and the budget

Otherwise spray the area where the parts meet (basically all the 90degree corners) and then fill the cavity with Roxul (safe and sound) to help kill the thumps... (you won't need a skid load lol) one bag will likely do it

If you can't get to the back, not much you can do
I forget where on the forums (was a post from a few months back) but someone did say that the MBRP they got was in fact heavier than the stock system.I didn’t weigh either the stock or the Borla, but a significantly lighter than stock. Can’t imagine the MBRP could be heavier than stock.
Yeah I'm coming to the conclusion that everything else is more important. Looks like my attention needs to be on the JB4! Have it, haven't had a chance to install it and the plugs yet.I imagine that even if you got another 5-10 HP you wouldn’t be able to feel it anyway. Do you have a JB4? That’s the biggest bang for buck. Along with intake and exhaust, you will be flying. I don’t know the answer to your question. Most dyno’s out there show intake and exhaust and JB4. At least that I’ve seen. Intake is probably the best air mod. In other words, I’m no help! Lol. Good luck. Btw, love the Borla s-type. Sounds mea
follow the directions on the JB4 carefully!Yeah I'm coming to the conclusion that everything else is more important. Looks like my attention needs to be on the JB4! Have it, haven't had a chance to install it and the plugs yet.
