Drag/Acceleration Kia Stinger 1/4 Mile Times

I'll try to get 2 or 3 more runs by end of Jan. Run with torque limits raised, run with wheels, run with dp. Dp should arrive first so that order may change.
Looking forward to it!

You guys so need to have John@Tork, Matt@Tork, etc.... it’s confusing as crap knowing who is answering the questions and that SOME times creates the “free re-flash” or “case by case” confusions.
Mat is sales and John is torkme except when john accidently logs on as sales. ;)

The comparison is for the 12.06@119.8 dragy slip on map5 + E30, there is no WMI on that run.

There is no magic here.

Power is a function of the boost, timing, and AFR, combined with higher flow bolt on modifications that increase efficiency of the engine. 1/4 mile times are a function of power, weight, and traction. So these claims your side makes that somehow your going to magically make significantly more power at the same boost, timing, & AFR, are laughable. As are your claims that some magical "11 second 1/4 mile limiter" is programmed in to the ECU that needs to be flashed out, or your claim that modules on the CANbus are not recording ECU values for higher flashed torque and load. You're just taking advantage of your naive customer base IMHO.
I've never heard tork boast about record hp gains on the Stinger. He has been working on applying the power via launch, shifting and holding boost. I'm pretty certain I'm making 30-40 less peak HP than cars slower than me. But why would i care?
Also your 12.06 becomes a 12.13-12.15 with the boat ancor wheels back on.
There is a reason everone is starting to stack up right at that low 12 second range and adding more mods is having diminishing returns.

The reason we're all bunched up around plus or minus 12.0@118mph right now is due the power to weight ratio. To break through we need less weight, more power, or both. The AWD cars have a huge advantage in traction but then get to carry the extra weight down the track. If I could get that 1.89 60' of yours somehow I'd run 11.7x. But I can't at least not at my current track and on my current tires.

What does your AWD car weigh on the scales? My GT was 3825# without me (I'm around 200# fully loaded).

I weigh alot! Gt2 is the heaviest plus ive made mine even heavier with sound deadening, thicker sway bars and chaisis bracing. I'm maybe 190# fully loaded.
What ever advantage awd gets in the launch gives back in the 200 lbs extra weight and drive train loss.

Which is evident in AWD trap speeds. It's a tradeoff for both.

It would be sooo nice to come to the 1/4 mile thread and... I don’t know... see 1/4 mile times.

To get this back on track, anyone done before and after runs on aftermarket springs? Lowering the car should increase traps. Maybe boost traction a bit?

I've got a set of Eibachs sitting here waiting for me to find time to install and test.

I havent but its def on the list before spring. I know it will help aerodynamically.

Actually, the air at Nisku is pretty bad in the summer. I've seen over 3500ft most summer days. It took a (Ford) Performance Pack 1 tune to get my '15 Mustang GT 6MT into the high 12's up here, and that was with a 2.0 60ft and quick shifts (NLS). Not sure many drivers could have done much better. But hey, I whomped my buddy's new '18 Camaro SS 6MT because he hasn't figured out how to launch it yet. His response is "f*ck you and your perfect launches" lol.

I'm curious to see how the Stinger does at our altitude, I figure low 13's (13.3 maybe). It doesn't affect turbo cars quite as much as NA. Then I'll see how it does after a tune/piggyback lol.

Hey a little bit over a mile above sea level 5,800 ft, stock awd I went 13.44@104.65, 13.52@103.84 (all with launch control) you should have no problem besting that.

Hit the private track for a few runs on the new v7 fuel control. Overall pleased to report it works well. Was able to set a new personal best.

Same mods as always: JB4, BMS intake, BMS WMI (50/50 mix), Enkei RPF1 18" rims w/ 555R tires, E30.

Congrats man .... now I hope I can get to 11’s no meth ..... just bolt ons ... I hope this new firmware with my new intercooler will do the trick

What does a slope of -.99% mean and what would be the difference between a flat road? At what point is slopento high to be considered?

I'll be here to help you along the way. I will say this is pretty aggressive tuning. I'm using map8 w/ an 85 additive. And because it's 55F outside to keep timing and boost targeting under control I'm using JB4 IAT spoofing to raise the ECU observed temperature just enough to get the stock boost target high enough to prevent throttle closure.
