But big picture you're asking your customers to throw $800 down the drain in a one time flash along with their warranty just so they can run 11.98@119 instead of 12.06@119?
.
This nonsense has to stop. You are starting to sound like Trump. Just because you say the same thing over and over and ignore all facts doesn't make it true.
Torks run and tune is still 5 months old and the new tune is much faster. .25 faster just in 0-60 on my car.
I saw him run a 12.0 flat with full car weight spare and all. I left the track before his 11.98 that same day.
Plus you are comparing a 92 tune vs an e30 tune.

Same thing with the misconception of Torks Car being much more heavily modded when in fact your car really is. I just don't get why people don't check things out themselves.

Im by no way saying you spread the misconception either.

I guess it's open for debate as to what car has more performance modifications.

As far as I know he has tuning, catless downpipes, catless midpipes, a muffler delete, intake, intercooler, lowering springs, factory 19" rims.

Ours has tuning, intake, aftermarket 18" rims.

You can claim the 18" rims are major modifications but some Stingers include 18" rims from the factory. The 555R rear tires clearly must not be that much better than stock as he has a better 60' on his stock tires? At some point factors like drivers weight, amount of gas in the tank, etc, come in to play. For example I have a half tank of gas in the car. What's that another 30# vs. having the fuel light on? What if I had stuck to last years new years resolution and lost that extra 15# around the gut? Is that a modification? What about the extra weight of the meth kit I'm hauling around when racing on map5? :)

Our car drives, sounds, and smells like stock. At the push of a button on my phone can perform stock as well. It will pass the state emissions test. Meanwhile I personally wouldn't want to drive 2 miles in a catless muffler-less Stinger. But as long as the mods are all listed people can draw their own conclusions.

hmmm guess your just going to detract from the fact that drag radials and 20# racing wheels vs stock wheels and tires are the same as you losing 15# you always love to give people shit about not making any sense in arguments... but, gotta say this is BS and you know it.

The basic FACT that you're missing is the 60' times. Running at a real track has its advantages and those are mainly in the launch. He ran 1.95 60' on his stock tires compared to my 2.06 60' on 555Rs. Now if I were to run at a true track I'm sure I could best his 60' and then you could argue the 555Rs were a huge advantage. But based on the numbers (1.95s stock tires, vs. 2.06s 555Rs), there is no net advantage.

It seems to me anyone who comes in contact with JohnB for too long loses some of their rationality and critical thinking. His tuning should include a disclaimer. :)

Serious question, why are wheels being consider a performance enhancer? There is like 40 lbs weight savings overall. That's the difference between a fat and skinny driver, or a half tank of gas. This fan boy competition shit is getting old. There is so little daylight between platforms right now these endless chirps a f*cking stupid. Mod you car however you want, get a slip or dragy, post it here. That's all this thread should be. Adding all these stupid qualifiers is pointless. you run what you brung. Period.

The 40#’s is actually rotational weight and can be pretty dramatic. I do agree, we are literally splitting hairs until there’s a 1/2 second between the two.

Based on my analysis the ~54# rim/tire combo was worth around 1mph trap speed, FWIW. Since traction isn't good the ET benefit wasn't really as dramatic. Lighter rims provide the largest benefit when rotational acceleration is the highest, off the line and lower gears.

Said it before I’m a huge WMI fan. I don’t run a 50/50 mix or above and 30/70 is regarded as “non-flammable”..... I hope I can find a good location under the hood to install it.

Covers about all the recent disputes, lol!

Terry,
You are still looking at our results from 6 months ago and are just now barely catching up. You have no idea what we have in the car now and yet are still running a less aggressive tune then you, stock tires, pump gas, and no methanol.....

When are you planning to post some numbers?

Yes our tracks are down for the year and its tough to get any street times with the amount of work John has in the shop right now.

You guys so need to have John@Tork, Matt@Tork, etc.... it’s confusing as crap knowing who is answering the questions and that SOME times creates the “free re-flash” or “case by case” confusions.

I can tell the difference, no problem.

I think until then you should probably stop with the "5 month old tune" thing then. I don't doubt you made improvements, but without numbers it's not proving anything.

You must have twins, lmao. It simplify the crap out of who was answering what for more than just me.

John I can normally tell.... other than that I get lost.

I think if we're going to superimpose politics on this JohnB definitely has the Trump role cornered lol.

Regarding how much faster his car is now, awesome. I'm just going by his latest published time.

You expect me to believe that someone went to the trouble to remove all emissions equipment, remove their muffler, redo the intercooler and piping, do countless track runs, but couldn't be bothered to remove the spare tire in the pits or add octane? Please.
Yes actually. After he ran the 12.0 i asked if he removed the spare (like it was a dumb question) and he said no. I'm like what? I always remove my spare at the track, not always for dragy.
My car is the only car posting times with the current Tork tune so better to compare to that.
Klrstinger (AWD) on map2 which sounds equivalent to a 92 tune (although he ran e20) is .18 slower with both dps.
I guess Tork will Make Stingers Great Again! (Minus the lies and deception)

he does almost daily via tonkabob we "know" where he stands 6 months later.

***edit it was 3 months ago prob feels like 6 though.
I'll try to get 2 or 3 more runs by end of Jan. Run with torque limits raised, run with wheels, run with dp. Dp should arrive first so that order may change.
