Torque and sticky tires ,and in our cars defeating all that newfangled electronic drive train crap is what makes a winner . Torque/HP is great and needed ..top end mph is for bragging rights...But in drag racing ,it always has been, and always will be the guy that gets to the finish line first...:) Wash

Meh I'd take a higher trap speed over a quicker ET any day of the week.

Please note... you are running our latest and greatest tune. My 11.99 run was running on a tune that is 4 to 5 months old, and I have since added more power and development on the Stage 2 tune. If I had to guess, if I were running the Stage 2 beta that TB is running, we should be closer to 11.7 and 120 + trap speeds. Hopefully this week I will have that pesky methanol system installed and start development on the Stage 2 + Methanol tune. I have to figure out how to get the factory turbos into the 10's :)
Upgrade your wheels and tires. Especially once you get that LSD in. Then maybe we can finally see some real good launches!

I would also, but it depends on the 1/8 mile to 1/4 gains that really show how well the tune is performing.

I am looking at my options right now... I don't think a 305 wide tire is going to fit, so going to have to figure out the best 275 option on the market, and then... lower control arms to keep them from folding up under the hard launches :)

305 no go. Tried already and rubbed fender, chipping the shitty paint. I am lowered though. This was on 10.5" +40 19" wheel. I have a set of 305/40/18 et streets DRs and 18" x 10" +35 wheel I might try for shits and giggles. Ideal setup I think would be 17"x 10' with a 275/45 Hoosier DRS. I cut a 1.56 on that setup on my old cls55 back in the day. Full wrinkle wall action!

I cannot find a wide 18" tire in Hoosiers line up, only 17".

I am looking at the M&H 275x45x18 drag radial... may actually move over to a full slick and put the DR's on my factory wheels. Still trying to make the decision on what direction to go.

Why not go 17's? With the right whenw design might clear brakes. The 275/40/17 Hoosiers are the tits! Hooked everyday all day. Best DR there is. I've used them all and always had best results with the hoosiers

I’ve seen someone fit a 295... and more than one has got the 285’s to fit.

The width doesn't really matter as much as the side wall and tire material. The 285/40/18 NT05R would probably be my first choice for it, but I happened to have the 285/35/18 555R tires from one of our other cars so figured I'd burn these up first.

Totally agree. I was running a beta tune newer than Tork 11.98 tune that gave me 4.1, 4.2s 0-60s. Then revised that tune and down to 3.8s. 11.98 pass was many revisions behind and with out meth should hit 11.7s with DRs.

I’m just hoping more companies offer the wider sizes.

Why Brancky? Do you enjoy getting beat any day of the week ? That's what a higher trap speed will do for ya every day of the week...and twice on Sunday over a lower ET ......and what about zero to 60 times...you don't care bout those? Et's get you the win ,and the trophy....the high trap speed gets you a cookie:) Wash

Well, did I mention that we have new info on the ECU?

Here is one map that has been a curse for a while now. I have to test it to verify, but... LC should now give us full throttle by any KPH that we set it to. This is just one little thing that will get that 60 ft time down, and drop the 0 to 60 MPH time also.

LOL, I agree with that... but, a low ET with a high trap speed, now we have something to brag about :)

If I can find a wheel that doesn't cost $500 per, I will look into that.

The other option would be to put the non GT (2.0 slow) rear brakes on the car, and then we could get away with a 16 inch wheel.

The big rear caliper from the GT will not allow a 17 inch wheel to fit, and if it did, I am sure some grinding would have to be done to clear it.

Congrats on the new ECU progress with LC ....now you're gonna be smokin Hot! :) Wash
Thanks, its been a long haul to get this far and now that we are addressing the lower end of things to get that 60 ft dropped even lower... I can start focusing on the upper RPM band and trying a few new tricks out for adding that extra 2 or 3 MPH to our trap speed.
