This story starts back 9 months ago at the end of Nov/early Dec when my soonroof failed to close properly.
While waiting for parts, they refused to do a full disassembly to reseat the sunroof and instead forced it to be 98% closed. Closed enough so any water that did get in would get drained ... but open enough that I cant drive more than 75mph (60 or less on a very windy day) without the sunroof catching air and trying to pull off.

Dealership ordered new rails but it was on backorder and tried to dealer-to-dealer.
After 7.5 months of "it will get here when gets here" answers I call Kia corporate. Lo and behold, 2-3 weeks latter my dealer had parts.
So scheduled to go in Aug 9.

Now for when the problems really start:
Parts they ordered where not the right parts. Even though they said back in Nov that it needed new rails, they ordered a motor rebuild kit. Well at this point the sunroof is off and they even cracked front windshield.
So they told me new rails will be in in 3-5 days and set me up with a rental. Also told me they where going to have a glass shop put in the sunroof rails and the new windshield (and install ceramic tint on it since my old windshield also had it)
Car not ready in 3-5 days, after a couple of "should be ready tomorrow" they then tell me I also need new motors for the cloth slide of the sunroof, 2 more days. Week latter still no parts, still "should be ready tomorrow" whenever I call. Impromptu went to dealership last Thursday and talked in person, they told me (probably totally BS) that the shipping company that they had to re-order part because the shipping company went out of business. Mind you, my car is no where to be found on their lot, apparently it has been in limbo at the glass shop for at least a week or two. Told me Friday, Monday the latest

So its now Wed and so I use my GPS location from my Accessorides module, and go to the glass shop and this BULLS**T is what I find:

Had to take kid to a doctor appointment so it was an hour latter when I returned to the dealership.
They had to find the service manager for me, and he (probably pretending to be on the phone) then tried to tell me that they were just getting ready to pick up my car from the glass shop.
Showed him the photo's and said "how the hell is it ready when this was my car ONE HOUR AGO".

Of course Mr. Slick tried to play it off like he was the one that had been lied to, and of course had no idea it was treated so poorly (even though he also said his tech went over there early today).
Naturally they are offering bare bones minimal to make it right, only to have their detail guy clean it and will "take care of me" in the future.
Unfortunately in a position where Service Manager is a down-playing liar, his manager is not going to care much either, and the owner recently died and the step-in is just there to collect a paycheck.

I would lose my shit if that's how I saw my car. Not sure if KIA Corp could do anything, but I would forward them the pictures and any correspondence you have with the dealership.

I'll be honest...I'd be in jail. That's complete horseshitz and to me like stealing from someone. You definitely have a lawsuit on your hands. As you're probably doing right now...get all your ducks in a row (emails, texts, phone messages, etc). I wouldn't sign anything that they offer short of a new 2023 Stinger and then some. And even at that, I wouldn't trust them to get you a cheeseburger. Wholly son of a

Oh Kia has been very good at not putting ANYTHING in writting. all communication has been verbal

Wow!!! I wonder, what's gonna happen if it rains, or some animal decides to make its new housing out of it.Unfortunately we're gonna see shit like this, more and more often as we turn into another socialist shithole. Don't even know what to wish to you here. No matter what, it's ruined. Good luck. I can feel your pain. Is it even possible to force the dealership to buy it from you?

I would be absolutely pissed, and virtually any response from you at this point is probably quite valid.
I would be getting my attorney involved, especially considering either
A. They have straight up been complicit with the treatment of you and your car.
or B. They have been totally negligent and have been lying to you, at best.

Sounds like a really, really, really easy to win law suite that will at minimum set you up with a new stinger, completely paid off, and then some.

FYI, I have sent this up to KIA corporate.
Will keep you all updated.

Hopefully KIA Corp does something to make it right. If not, I would definitely reach out to a lawyer and force all future communication with the dealer/corp to go through your lawyer and refuse to talk to them or tell them to contact your lawyer for all correspondence. The fact that they left the car wide open to the elements, who knows what else could have happened to it.

Dirty Mike and The Boys were probably getting in there.

The bitch of it all is that recently there has been a TSB issue to fix stuck sunroofs, which is a relatively easy fix. Not sure if this applies to yours, but if so, such irony.

This begs the question, why wasn't the car covered up?!@#

Yikes that car is done. Looks like junkyard lot and that car is ready to be destroyed.

Still waiting to get my car back.
Last Friday was waiting on a new cloth for sunroof (and previous week was new motor for cloth).
Now waiting on humidity sensor.
Starting to seem like they break everything they remove. Also brought to their attention indentions into the leather in back seat behind driver and the molding on outside of passenger door B pillar being misaligned off now.

I got an initial reply back from Kia when I first filed my complaint last week, but have not received anything since, not sure if that is normal wait time for Kia or not.

I am going to go back next week and force a sit-down with GM. Not only did that gross mistreatment of my car happen while under their care, they have not given me/my stinger any ViP/preferable treatment what-so-ever since discovered. If they or Kia corporate cant give me an extended bumper-to-bumper warranty (and fix everything that is less than it was when I turned my car over to them for repair) then am going to seek legal counsel (and be seeking a buyout + 2024 gt2 + legal fees at that point).

leaves me wondering if that outfit is even capable of putting their damage back together again. 'all the kings horses and all the kings men' would have a challenge putting your stinger 'back together again'. I hope that your saga of woe has a happy ending!

Typical wait time from kia corperate is about 2 weeks for every one response, just so you have a timeframe to expect.

holy shit i would lose my mind .... good luck
