Kia Is Practically Giving Away Stingers

and that's one car that we know nothing about that a dealer got rid of, hardly "Kia giving them away". I've seen dealer buy backs, dealer demos, "brand new" cars with body work of all kinds go for cheap.

I've had several offers of ~$45.5-$46.5 for '18 GT2 AWDs in red/blue (the most common color left). Add in $12,400 lease cash, and it's around $33-34K + tax. That's around $18-19K off $53k. That's 33% off, and should be quite easy to replicate.

where are you getting $12.4k lease cash for a 2018?

Yeah, point us in the direction of the dealer that's eating $7-8k from MSRP before rebates...

some of those rebates can't be stacked with lease deals and I'm sure that money factor on a 24 month lease would be absurdly high.

Both of the $1k rebates apply. Plus, if you quality for loyalty / conquest, that's another $3k off..

Check out dealers with old 2018 stock.. GT2 AWDs in red are like half the remaining stock..

I know for a fact you can't combine the conquest with loyalty and you can't combine either with the lease cash. The other $1k rebates I have no idea. You could probably get one at around $40k after rebates, $33k? Yeah right, not for one with less than 100 miles anyway.

The chicagoland dealers list the inventory on-line at up to $10,000 below MSRP.
however, none of the salemen, or sales manager, will sell it for close to that price.
No one would answer me when I said I want to buy a 2019 GT2 today for the on-line price.
The actual price they push, once in the showroom, is closer to MSRP.
For an endless list of reasons I am not suitable for their on-line prices.
I doubt anyone is suitable for the on-line prices.

The Wisconsin dealers did not play these games.
I bought in New Jersey a 2018 premium plus for $38,000 Pearl white. I’m guessing you have to have great credit, put down ($4,500).

Well...., for some people it did happen. My buddy got both on his Stinger deal last year when we were all wondering how the heck they were doing that and others also mentioned here that they did. It was a fluke on the site for a few days that you could select it and some folks were lucky enough to have it honored. My 2018 was around $13,400 off with dealer discount when I bought it. If they still have a lot of 2018s left out there, I would figure them wanting to get rid of them now.

I know you can't combine loyalty and lease. Since I don't qualify for either, I have not really looked into combining with lease cash, but I believe it can be done (one of them). One of the $1k rebates is the old "AWD" cash, and the new one is for the "summer sale" for older models.

There's $10,400 lease cash + $1k awd + $1k "summer sale" cash for all 2018 gt2 awds. Dealer invoice is around $47,500, I think. That's $35K right there. Are you claiming no dealers are willing to sell 1.5 year old cars at invoice? I got an offer of $5k off MSRP in Modesto just 2 weeks ago after a 2 minute chat on a 2018 GT2 AWD in red.. Others in SoCal offered $46,500 without much negotation. Subtract $12,400 and do lease buyout. Add loyalty / conquest on top of you qualify.

Hi, Patricia. Welcome to the forum! :D

If that's out the door, that's not too bad. But if you have to add on taxes and fees on top of that, the dealer got top dollar out of you. It's only money. If you can afford it, enjoy the car and don't worry about somebody else getting their car for less; that would be envy, and I'll quote Elwood P. Dowd. "That's envy, my dear. There's a little bit of that in all of us. And that's too bad."

I am hoping to get a 2019 GT2 AWD for no more than $40,000 before fees and taxes. Which is why I will be waiting until late this year or early next year, when prices will be lower.
Mine was brand new. Motion Kia in New Jersey has one black premium left.

I think the author of the article puts too much faith in the honesty of the dealer's on-line prices.
I found that not a single dealer in northern chicagoland would sell a Stinger to me at anything close to their on-line prices.
Discussions got heated. It took me awhile to learn that the Chicagoland dealers, with their low on-line prices, were simply competing to get me into their showrooms. They had no intention of of selling anywhere near the on-line prices.

I almost gave up on Kia as a brand, never before having experienced such dishonesty.

I finally bought my stinger from a reputable dealer in Wisconsin. A dealership with good people. Not reptiles such as my experience in Chicagoland.
Chicagoland stealers.:D

Higher 2 year leash cash still results in what most people consider absurdly high payments. Good for some people maybe, but probably not most.

The deal on my new '19 GT was made with 2k in rebates, 1.5 k from the dealer, over NADA for my trade, and skipping another rebate in lieu of low rate KIA financing.

Each person's situation is different.

Looking for advice. 19 GT RWD. Is this final price including tax of $35,114 a decent deal? It's about 18% off the msrp.

Dealer Documentation/Processing Fee $ 398
Dealer Discount $ (2,950.00)
Finance and Cash Rebate (3.9 66 mo's 2,750) $ (2,750)

Total Purchase Price (excl Title and Reg @125) $ 35,114

thanks in advance. Phil

If you don't mind sharing which Dealer in Wisconsin did you purchase your stinger from. I am in the market for a GT2 AWD and also live in the Chicagoland area. I was disappointed to hear that the dealers around here are so bad.
There is a 2018 Red GT2 AWD in Orland Park IL for 36k.

Thanks for letting me know but I want a 2019 because the 2018 did not have the 360 degree camera system. Also I am not sure if that one has the 19 inch wheels with performance tires which is another must have for me.

19" is only available in rwd for 2019...I think. Aka I just bought one and am pretty sure awd is 18" only based on all the late nights if research on it. I love my rwd 19 gt...love it love it love it! 300 miles on it so far.
