Such wonderful supporting community here. I f&@$& up, and I tried my best with Sal to point out the issue, and it’s now been solved. I’m glad I made that mistake because now there’s instructions on site as there should have been originally.

Check out the pics on page one and page three. The gaps on those are noticeably smaller. He ^ may have done something wrong during install.

Wrong, no. Hole in door is one size, plate is another.
You have to maneuver the plate into a position so it doesn’t in any way interfere with the locking mechanism. Like I said before, depending on the lighting, is if you’ll see gaps or not.

But when I zoom into it I do notice it's a shadow going around the left edge making it look like a big gap. And the gap on the right side is just because the door lock button is in the open position--once closed that gap will be invisible. Looks like it's fit just as tight as the stock black plastic pieces.

Trust me, sitting in the car with the door shut, it’s fine. You’ll either have a gap on one side or the other. I chose to have more clearance on the lock side as to not interfere with the mechanics. Usually when you first put them in they’ll scrap the door lock when it locks itself, so you have to jimmy it back a bit so it has clearance and then press hard to seal them in place. The pic I took is with the door open looking basically directly at it, in the car you’ll never see it at that angle. Once you know you have to remove the plastic pieces, and clear the lock mechanism, there is no where else for them to be placed.
