Just got this installed: Ultimate Performance HFC Downpipe + Mid Pipe

disconnect the computer and you can get the top 2 bolts from engine bay. After you get them off you can actually install all 4 bolts from the top by hand (if they're small enough). I cut my hands up pretty bad doing that and while installing the secondary O2 sensor driver side as well.
Ended up breaking one of the studs :'( Do you happen to know what parts are needed to fix the broken turbo stud? I've seen people mention the stud getting fixed, but not sure what/where the replacement studs are coming from.

how did you break the stud? Like sheared? if you just cant thread a bolt back on that's kind of normal (facing the back of the car driver side bottom left turbo bolt doesn't catch the thread anymore) If that is the case then you can get a set of jewler's files and file down the thread so that it catches again. I have attached a link of the actual part, however talking with Tork Motorsports if you actually damaged the stud you may not be able to fix it depending on where it is.

The stock primaries are pretty restrictive, unfortunately. That's why you get such good gains when you switch to the Ultimate Performance HFC Combo Kit.

You can view more information on this product HERE.

Do you have any recommendations on how to combat some of the negative results from installing the UP HFC combo kit. Over boost issues, turbo leaks, turbulence, CEL due to the ECU triggering into safety mode.

To fix the issues, you need to get a tune. If you're going with a jb4, you need to get the ewg add-on ($80). I no longer have overboost issues with mine. Send an email to terry@burgertuning.com and he will let you know what firmware or user defined settings to set.

My car runs great with the now with the ewg, have not seen any CEL or felt any issues!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks for sure
Wongus is correct. You need to run a tune in order to properly set this up and not run into issues, also make sure to upgrade your spark plugs when you install the new tune as well. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have questions about it. We have helped walk people through just about every issue imaginable. If I don't have the answers our store's owner, David will have them for sure.

Appreciate the feedback a bunch. I just received my downpipes today. After installing the eibach pro set kit and Borla cat back we began to work on taking down the primaries and ended up snapping one of the bolts smh!

Not sure where i go from here. Please anyone with advice.???

I have the same issue on one side. I'm currently just running it with 3 bolts tightened on one side. I went and bought a tool to remove the stud, but it just ended up breaking the stud even further, so I will just have to get a shop to fix it in the future. I don't notice any boost leaks or issues so far. I think repairing is a task for a real shop, kinda hard to work on in the home garage.

Touché now just awaiting on the EWG add-on.

Thanks a bunch for reaching out and willingness to help me out. We were able to fix the broken stud as it Luckily snapped off perfectly and wasn‘t to troubling getting a nut back on to it as the threads were not ruined.

Was able to get the rest of the bolts off much easier than the one that snapped. It did take 9hours though lol just kept soaking and soaking and going at it slow and steady.

So far it is running great. Haven’t even installed the waste gates for the JB4 but i did order them yesterday.

My next move is figuring out the best way to knockout the cabin drone. It’s horrible lol i love the sound outside of the car 100% inside I hate it lol.

Has anyone tried the sxth element hfc Down pipes. They say know cel with there pipes. Just wondering if there’s real world experience with them out there. I have JB4 mid pipe borla cat back. What I want to know is will I get cel with this product. Thanks guys and girls

You will have CEL with any downpipe I believe, since that will require a tune. If you have jb4 you'll need the EWG add on to work properly with the downpipe.

Hello there my friend,

I like you and many others in this forum I try to do all my modifications myself. This one looks and sounds like a bitch, so I have held off.

I have the NGT with High Flow Cat and O2 sensor bung already installed. Both brand new sitting in box for install.

Any advice, step by step is grealty appreciated. Especially for the driver side.

Taking to a shop is also not out of the question, based on the horror stories.

Appreciate the info.

Happy to share and swap stories etc.
I'm running the gammut
JB4
Intake snorkels
Self made Intake (after wasting $$$ on another purchase)
Intercooler and piping
WMI
E30/Fuel It
Subframe collars
Subframe chassis Braces Luxor
Whiteline front and Rear Sways
Replaced Secondary downpipes to catless, plus mid and axle back. Multiple swaps of mid and axle back sections.
Etc

Thanks Again

Troy

Pipes are on car now . Primary with 200 hfc . Know cel . Great addition to car . Quicker spool better mid upper rpm air flow.

So you went with the sxth element downpipes correct? Any reason you chose that over going with the ultimate performance hfc combo? And do you have any other exhaust work done?

Already had borla exhaust on car and already had secondary cat and res delete. So just went with the sixth element.
