I have been suffering with the jerkiness too so already ordered. Curious how often the reset adaptives needs to be performed. Does the jerkiness return with a week, month, year?
I bought Tork TCU tune Stage 1 and started noticing that in comfort and eco mode the 2-3-4 shifts are really rough with noticeable kicks. In sport it is much smoother but I am not always driving in sport. After about 20-30 minutes driving it dispersal, so I assume the gear oil warms up and fixes itself.
I tried switch back to original TCU and found no issues. Will transmission oil change help? Car has 38000 miles.
If you get a code, it should be able to clear the code, but I don't know for certain as I have a 2019 and don't have the overboost issue.
It won't solve it from happening again, 2022's seem more prone to this (even some owners with no mods have seen it). Some have reported that having the EWG wires and adjusting the wastegate control via the jb4 have reduced or eliminated it. If you can get it to do it completely stock, then the dealer should be made aware, seems Kia won't fix it unless enough people complain.

I’ve had one overboost issues with EWG wires. It happen last week where my car went into limp mode. Turned it off and on again and the issue was solved instantly at the stop light. I’ve had mechanics look at my car before EWG wires but with JB4 and they ran the code and said it’s due to overboost causing limp mode. Since getting EWG wires, only happened once which was last week. Still, it happened again. Pesky 2022’s are prone to this which is why I moved away from downpipes too, I’m a daily driver and don’t drive my car hard 99% of times, which is why I was considering getting this device to reset my overboost or figure out what else may be causing my car to go into limp mode last week.
I wanted to thank you all, I purchased the Xtool - A30D and reset the adaptive values for the transmission.
Those hyper aggressive low speed 2nd gear downshifts are gone. Thank you!!!

I have a 22 GT2 AWD and have those hard downshifts too. I had it reset at the dealer and it did nothing. If that didn’t work, will this tool do the trick?
Thanks
If the dealer did properly reset it then this device will not be beneficial.
Check your invoice, see if they listed it as a procedure they did. If you're in South Florida we could meet up to reset it. I will say its a cool little device that gives you some options, you may want to consider picking it up.
If it is still happening after they said they did an adaptive reset they either didnt actually do it or you have a different problem.
The Xtool does alot more than just reset the adaptive transmission, its well worth the money for everything else it does.
I have a mistrust of most of the dealerships to do anything on the stinger ....
