JB4 Stinger Fuel Control Add On Wires Install Video

I put the info in, hit save, disconnected it, and then reconnected it to see if the values remained. They were still there so I guess that's the way to go.
have you felt any difference in performance?

Anyone know what my afr's should be on map 1? also what map can be used with the fuel wires and 91oct?

I believe the AFR is the same on all maps and here is the info about settings from the N54tech forum.

Also on one of the other JB4 threads I think Terry confirms map 2 with fuel wires is ok on 91, if at higher elevations. But might be worth running a few logs for him to check out just to be sure. Or try using some quality octane booster to get up to 93 at least.

Damn im at about sea level, i cant see myself remembering to add an octane boostereverytime, hope that meth tune map is available soon, hahaha. I was more wonderingwhat they should be. I ask because i have 11:1 ration accorsing torque app at wot, didnt know if that was normal or if i should be seriously concerned. Thnx for the link a lot of good info i didnt realize i missed out on, i should keep up with those forums, smh.

Logs are always useful if you need personalized advice. But on map1 or map2, I'm confident the default settings including fuel mapping will work well for everyone. Also keep in mind once JB4 is augmenting fuel control, the reading via the OBDII will no longer be accurate. The JB4 reading will be though.

What maps can you run on 91 octane? That’s all we have in AZ...

Is it worth buying if you can only run map 1?
You would run into the same issues with any of the other piggybacks tunes out there, even lap3 only got the high nunbers with a downpipe and 93 octane. Plus you can always add fuel wires, e85 and hes working on a methanol mapping as well. Oh and its cheaper than the other ones. Honestly if u know anyone near u w one, j think u would be convinced to get it, i only use map1, and love it.

Yes!

Map 1 still gives an extra 50whp & 70wtq with the fuel wires. There’s actually only a 13whp & 7wtq difference at peak between map 1 & 2, which may not even be very noticeable.

Another words, map 1 would be well worth it:thumbup:

How does this translate into performance increase say from 0-100kmh?

Depends on which map you use but most people are dropping down to 4.0-4.5sec 0-100kmh range. Average seems to be about 0.5 second drop in acceleration times.

I'm going to be installing this Monday after ordering it yesterday. Will I need to make adjustments to the software? Do I have to enter in the A/F ratios above?

N/M Fond the answer: v7
3) Adjusted JB4 interface such that fuel bias values no longer need to be entered for fuel control to be active. They can all be set to 0, or left at previous settings, because they will be ignored unless you enable "manual" AFR tuning under FutureUseD bit1. NOTE if not using fuel control wires no changes are needed but logging of AFR will not be accurate unless setting FutureUseD bit 0 on.

Plug in play I guess.
