JB4 Beta w/ JB4 Connect Kit Rev3 - initial thoughtsView attachment 6940 View attachment 6941 View attachment 6941 View attachment 6940 Does anyone have the JB4 REV3 BT connect kit yet? I just got mine tonight and am a little irritated. The install manual on Burgers web site shows a different plug and all fits inside the case. Not true with what they sent for the JB4 on the stinger. I email them tonight to ask how this is suppose to fit. $147 for the BT kit? It better fit!

That White/grey plug is the end of the REV BT module. Ya it’s not the same as the one in the install diagram. Is that plug you have coming out of the right side the one that came with the JB4 or is it a part of the REV3? And is it the lighting/flash or is that plug white?
All of my JB4's plugs are black.
The connection on the right side of your JB4 (assuming that's the REV3?) looks a lot like this BMS Data cable they sell. BMS DATA Cable and 3' Extension Cable - BurgerTuning.com

Also I think Tork Motorsports found some weird behaviors around those shift points as well that might be attributed to the torque management protocols intervening in the fun. Piggy Backs by their nature are an imperfect solution. While there are good, cheap, fun, they lack the ability to calibrate factory ECU strategies, and you are therefor subject to the ECU doing things in an erratic or unexpected behavior. Full tuning is around the corner, and we will see what these things can really do.
Also wondering if a proper ecu tune will solve the spark plug gap problem experienced with the piggy-back tunes?
From everything I’ve read the stock plug gap is inadequate for any increase in boost. Many experts and tuners on here are saying it’s basically a requirement to regap stock plugs before any tune. Do a search and you’ll find multiple threads clarify this update for our Stingers. Also wondering if a proper ecu tune will solve the spark plug gap problem experienced with the piggy-back tunes?
Tech at Burger Motorsport got back to. Just remove the plastic casing around the DB9 plug. Huh! Guess I should’ve though if that...... up and running now! Way easier to log.Does it have a black box at the end that says "Connect Kit" on it?
*edit: Never mind. I see it dangling in the picture. That's the extent of my "help". Sorry, I have no idea...
No. Tuning had nothing to do with plug gap blow out issues. I've discussed this repeatedly. Also wondering if a proper ecu tune will solve the spark plug gap problem experienced with the piggy-back tunes?
Ask and ye shall receive
He goes on specifically talking about the power management during 4th and 5th gear shifts.
Anybody live near Burger Motorsports that could loan them a car for a couple days so we can get canbus support? Terry is offering a BMW loaner in exchange.
I'm only going off what they have on their YouTube channel. So far, the info you're asking for isn't unavailable yet.Any updates on this? Availability? Price? Logistics? (send in ECU, laptop programming, handheld programmer, datalogging capability??)
Did Torx Motorsports manage to get their car back to the drag strip this past weekend to see if they improved on the 12.4 sec 1/4 mile time?
Anxious for more info!!
How will that work? The JB4 isn’t hooked to the ECM.......If you have the bluetooth connection and phone app, it will you give you the full set of gauges on your phone to monitor every aspect of the engine. That should help in making more maps.
