Hey everyone, I am new to this Forum and just bought a 2019 KIA Stinger 4 Cyl AWD Base model last year. Originally bought because I like the appearance and intended for my kids and as a daily driver, plus I got it for $0 down out the door at $28k from the dealer with 4 miles and 2% APR, how could anyone pass that up right? I quickly fell in love with the car and wanted to give it a little pick me up so I purchased and installed a JB4 and Intake. Not shooting for high performance but wanted to feel the car when I hit the gas and between these 2 the car is night and day. Anyway I have 1 concern about the JB4 if anyone can help me out.
Q). I use the bluetooth for my JB4, does this need to be connected every time I drive the car for the JB4 to work? Or can I drive my car without it “connected” and it will still use the last map setting? I can feel the difference when it’s on, but I’m wondering if I go through a canyon and lose that connection, will the performance drop suddenly? Is there a way to control the setting on the dash using the OBD plug?
