Aside from a love of Z cars I have mainly been a fanboy of VAG cars. Also had a few filler vehicles in between.

99 Chevy cavalier-first car, dont judge me
88 Porsche 924s
88 GMC Sierra step side
91 240sx
92 Jetta GLI-dont worry I did lower it :)
07 VW gti w/edition 30 kit, APR tuned.
10 Audi A6 Avant
2018 stinger GT1....
Ongoing project- 74 260z with VQ35HR Swap

My stinger is also the first car I have bought new, so maybe I dont have a great comparison, but I know I am in love with it. I was cross shopping an S5 sportback and I found myself talking myself into liking it. There was something about it that was a little too sterile and boring. I chose the stinger maybe not because it was absolutely better in every category, but because how I felt while driving it....joy is what I think you would call that feeling.

Agreed I also was looking into an Adi S5 and was like you said sterile and boring, don't get me wrong the S5 is super fast and interior build quality is amazing except for leather wrinkling fast but also was fully loaded 68,000 USD, I got my new GT2 2019 Sting for 42,000 USD before taxes. So Do I think the Four Rings Badge was worth 20,000 USD more? hell no.

Never had anything other than NA cars until 2011 when I got a Genesis coupe. Since then I've had a 2015 Optima SX & 2015 Sportage & now of course a 2019 Stinger. All great, reliable cars and only the Genesis was back to the dealer to replace a rear light that had condensation.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
2nd for me. I took a gamble on buying a 2011 Optima SX new despite people warning me not to buy a Kia. Loved it. The only non-recall issue I had was a leaking valve cover gasket at 93k miles and it was replaced under warranty. Several of my friends and family drive Kias and Hyundais now.

2nd Kia, 4th Korean. Better half has a previous-Gen Sedona that I'm looking at replacing with the new Soul when it comes out. I had a BK1 and then BK2 Genesis Coupe before.

My car ownership has been varied, consisting of Japanese (Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Subaru), European (BMW Audi, VW, Volvo) and 1 US (Ford) brand. Traded my 2010 535 for a 2012 Optima hybrid, then to a 2014 Hybrid and then a 2017 Hybrid, added the 2018 Stinger, wrecked it and got a 2019 Stinger. The way mt history has been with the KIA cars, I will most likely trade this one for another after the face lift/mid-cycle refresh.
