Ist Kia for me, but my previous car was a Hyundai Sonata. So there's a lot of familiarity, but a lot more power!!!

First Kia. Previous cars (and one motorcycle) in order back to my first are:

2008 BMW 335i
1966 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII (weekend car)
2003 Saab 9-5
2000 Saab 9-5
1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500 (weekend car)
1994 Isuzu Trooper
1986 Saab 900 Turbo SPG (coolest car I have owned)
1987 Honda CRX Si
1972 BMW R60/5
1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle

First kia. A gf had one in hs and it was an absolute disaster and embrassement. I would of never thought I'd buy a Kia. Ive advised people against it and I am Korean! But I am loving the stinger, all the minor problems can be over looked.

The dealerships I hate though. From the sales staff to the waiting area. an open space with decades old furniture and kids running around, popcorn all over the floor. I walk down the street to lexus where I bought my other car sometimes. So much nicer in there. Service department has been very very nice to me though. Constant calls about survies asides.

For my car history I've owned just about every major country/brand. Some of them I still have. I am not a fan of trading in cars but rather hoarding them.
(2) Saab sportcombis, (3) camry xse, (1) corvette z06, (2) bmw twin turbo 5s, (1) gmc suburban, (1) Mercedes e, (1) hummer3, (1) lexus nx300, (2) ranger rover sports, (1) tesla 3, (1) mustang boss and some more.

Upvoting for two Saabs! One of the many things I love about my Stinger is turbo charged four door with a hatch - very Saab-ish!

I've owned Nissan, BMW, VW, Mini, and now my first KIA. I've never been a label whore and don't really care what ppl think of my ride. That being said, i literally find myself looking back at my Stinger after i've parked it. It looks amazing.

I was a long time Pontiac owner both because they were a de facto performance-oriented division of GM where I was a service manager back in the '80's, and because I knew the cars and had flawless service from them. But Pontiac died and GM quit building my kind of cars, so I did some serious online review reading and decided to take a chance on an import (my last one was a '75 Saab EMS which was a black hole for repairs.) My list of most recent cars is in my signature below. Still have the GTO.

What are the things you have noticed between your past, current pontiacs when compared to the Stinger?

Not my first Kia.

The list & longevity:
1991 Dodge Daytona ES - first car, kind junk but looked cool (1 year)
1993 Ford Probe - high revving fun but cheap and unreliable 800 dollar distributors (8 months)
1988 Dodge Daytona Pacifica Turbo - Automatic, cheap. Trans started slipping so I sold it (1 year)
1994 Chev Cavalier RS 3.1L - Pretty reliable, hardly any maintenance and overall not bad (1 year)
2001 Grand Prix GTP - not a bad car, supercharger was fun, but got tired of auto (1.5 years)
2009 Chev Cobalt SS - Quick fun but a total rattle trap and super cheap (2.5 years)
1987 Toyota Celica GTS coupe - bought as a project but sold shortly after (3 months)
2012 Kia Sportage SX - Was a pretty good car, little trouble and only a couple noise quibbles, but was boring to drive (3 years)
1987 Toyota Supra Turbo - I didn't have enough cash to afford the upkeep so I sold it shortly after buying it and having issues (4 months)
2015 Ford Mustang GT - Probably the second biggest rattle trap next to the Cobalt. It was fun, but angered me in the quality department (3.5 years)
2018 Kia Stinger - We'll see how it fares. (...tba)

Not my experience at all. There are kids there sometimes, that's the only feature on your short list that agrees. "My" dealership is very professional from top to bottom. But that would be because Jerry Seiner has always maintained a professional dealership, whether it's Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, or Kia.

The kia that I bought my stinger from was a brand new glass building. Everyone was in uniform and it was clean. My local kia on the other hand is a mess.

It is my first Kia. I have had 3 Maximas SE’s (2001,2010,2014) with a 2007 Mazda3 Grand Touring 5 door hatchback sandwiched in there. Could no longer stand the CVT in the Maximas. Had a couple of older GTI’s (83, 87 16v) back in the day. Absolutely love my 2019 GT2 AWD Stinger. Also own:

1. 2018 Lexus LC500 with performance package in Infrared w/ black int
2. 2017 Corvette Z06 2LZ trim (7 sp manual) in Watkins Glen Gray w/ chrome rims and exposed carbon fiber roof
3. 2016 Ford Explorer Sport (3.5 twin turbo V6) in black w/pano roof and any other option I could get

Yes. The Stinger is my first Hyundai Kia product.
In my teens and twenty’s I repeatedly bought Honda/Acura sedans.
In my 30’s I switched to BMWs.

After 3 BMW, I am now 39 and a first time Kia owner.
