Interior door pull

The same thing happened to my 2020. I have an appointment set for the 18th. Still under warranty. thank God.

2022 Stinger GT2
2 weeks after purchase, the driver door pull broke away from the interior panel. It broke at the very front where the handle curves up and then attaches to the panel. Kia is going to replace the whole interior panel, however it’s been on back order for over a month now.
Yesterday, as my wife was closing the passenger door, the passenger side broke it the same place.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I had the same thing happen to my drivers side.

How will that work? You would end up busting through the plastic shafts. As I understand the issue, the threaded metal inserts in the shafts pull out. A more secure fix would be to epoxy them back in, if you are not going to go through the dealer for this.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Fwiw, after reading some many of these, I've been pulling on the outer "pocket", rather on the "handle". It's a bit of a stretch to reach, but it's better than a broken handle.

I had time to search and located Kia (TSB) Technical Service Bulletin service action for grip handle repair.

"Longer screws", that is it? No mention of the screw "cups" that press into the ends of the shafts having pulled out. What failed then? How would longer screws fix this? None of the normal length screws have been a problem before or after this production run period. Or, maybe KIA went to longer screws going forward?
