"AUTO": which, apparently, "thinks" this scale or that one is the "proper scale" for driving speed. At freeway speeds, the "proper scale is displayed at 2 miles. At surface roads speeds it seems to default to .25 miles. While at very sedate speeds, say under 30 MPH, it will retain 700' or even expand to 300' to show local street detail.

On my Sorento, there is a nav settings screen for setting the scale by speed according to your preference. I didn't use Auto either. I don't know if the Stinger system has it because I have never used the built-in nav, but it would surprise me if it didn't.

Yes & wages growth is stagnant, so a 30% increase is going to the corporate coffers, poor bastards are doing it tough. You don’t mind reasonable price increase that are instep with all other economic conditions but this is just a price gouge nothing more.

I noticed something twice today, when starting my car the brake pedal was super stiff, it took a lot of effort to push it down far enough to engage the brake switch to actually get the car to start. I also noticed one day when parking (maybe yesterday, I don't remember) the parking brake symbol was lit up when I parked the car. I wonder if the parking brake operates similar to the auto hold since when using auto hold the brake also feels stiff if you step on it when engaged. Did my car decide to start automatically engaging the auto hold/parking brake when parking the car? Maybe a setting somewhere? Either way, something is different all of a sudden.

Were you using auto hold when parking the car? If auto hold is being used when parking, when you place your car in park, the parking brake is automatically set.

No, I rarely use auto hold and I turn it off once I'm out of stop and go traffic. It's possible I pressed the brake sometime between turning the car off and starting it which also will make it stiff but I am quite certain I didn't do that either. Just odd. Not a big deal, just wondered if anyone else had that happen.

When I got my Stinger the cost of each service was documented in the paperwork they provided. You’d think that as they’ve given prices in writing and it’s capped price that it should remain that way for the duration of the warranty. No doubt there’s something in the fine print that says it’s subject to change.

What gives them the out is that they change it to apply to the next MY model, therefore during the sale of the car fixed price servicing would/should be disclosed & the purchaser it is assumed is none the wiser to what previous owners are paying.

Yeah just have to make sure they aren’t stinging (see what I did there) the original owners with the increased prices of the new models. I have a feeling they’ll charge everyone the same

One thing that has been bugging me and just a pet peeve is the LED from under the mirror is not the same tone as the one in the door handle. The door handle one is the only one that is more yellow than all the others around the car.

While I'm here what is MY stand or when saying MY18, MY19 etc. model. I is mid year? Just curious lol.

Oh ok, I see it mostly from AUS users? I don't know if its more common over there. Before coming to this forum only time I would see MY is to specify mid year when they did a mid year design change.. Besides that you just say 18 or 19 no need to specify "model year". Lol

I discovered today if I use the paddles and it goes into manual mode, I can go back to auto by pulling on and holding the right hand up-shift paddle for about 3 seconds.

I have previously asserted that once you move the "T" shifter into manual gate, that the engine response is the same in a given gear no matter which drive mode you are in: i.e. it was my opinion that once shifting manually, any throttle mapping in different drive modes is overridden. Well, not true. You wouldn't notice any difference between drive modes if the engine isn't pulling, though. For some reason, today, for the first time, I noticed a distinct difference between Eco, Comfort and Sport. The discovery occurred because I was restless near the end of a second full day in a row of driving and was playing around with the different driving modes. On a long hill, in Eco and manual gate, I shifted to 6th gear and I was going 80 MPH at 3K RPM. Keeping this constant, I entered Comfort mode and the engine bumped up in power output, and I started to accelerate noticeably more. I then moved to Sport mode and the increase in pulling power bumped up again above what it had moved up to in Comfort above Eco. I tried this several times to make sure I wasn't ascribing the increase in power output to some other factor.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but today I went to get out of the car and my keys fell out of my pocket onto the seat with me realizing it. I tried to lock the car with the button on the door handle, but it gave a weird long beep. After the second time, i saw the keys on the driver seat, got them, and the car locked fine. Guess you can't lock the keys in the car.
