The Optimas have the same system and though it may work well when it's warm out it will drive you nuts when it gets cold, especially if you park outside.

The car overrides whatever you select for climate control and forces cold air to blow onto the windshield until it's completely moisture free. In my Optima that meant my 8 mile, 20 minute drive would be at freezing cabin temps for 7 minutes and 18 miles before the car would let me warm up.

Interestingly I bought my Stinger in February and by that point had grown used to the feature so I started spending 10-15 minutes every morning warming things up.

Tl;dr: Smart Vent sucks in the cold. Get a remote starter.

I thought I read somewhere in the owners manual you should drive the vehicle right away in the colder climates....I dunno about you, but I treat a car the same way I treat me....give it plenty of fluids and idle it a bit before I venture out!!
x 2 on the remote........wonder how that works with the start button??

this is the dumbest thing I have seen on such a simple problem! How can you engineer a car with such great acuracy, both handling and maintaining....that the wipers can't be lifted unless they are ''parked '' upright......I'm not liking this one bit, I'll move 'em up a notch instead of pressing buttons and moving wiper switches.......wow.

Thanks.......I'll see how far the wipers go vertical before I even try and relocate the wiper(s)

I looked at it and realized moving the wipers a notch or two would be futile....oh well another thing to hate (for me).
the other ? That pesky engine shut off overide, Ya Know the lil' rear yiew , view if you will....really doesn't bother me at all.

Best practice is to start her up, wait for the RPM's to come down and idle normally, then start driving, being careful not to drive it hard for the first several miles until the fluids are all up to operating temp. Which is why having an oil temp gauge working with the JB4 app would be awesome. Coolant temp will rise first and most quickly but the various oils take more time

most high performance autos and trucks, Have oil pressure gauge and alt/volt gauges in plain view with the instrument cluster, strangely this does not. Any ''A'' pillar gauges ready for the stinger yet?

Did you know: if you hold down your seat heater (maybe cooling too?) for about 2 seconds it will turn off, instead of pushing the button 1, 2, or 3 times to shut it off.

My (2015) Sorento works the same way (heat and cool). Told my ex. several times she didn't have to cycle thru to turn it off, but she never remembered..

As we know, the side view mirrors tilt down when backing up. However, if you have the left/right mirror selector switch in the middle position, they don't tilt down. This is handy when going down a long driveway, as opposed to parallel parking.

WOW, Now that is something, I never even suspected. Pretty cool if it's in my base model.

This "discovery" is funny! We all learn our Stingers at different rates. I keep finding pieces of packing plastic stuck to even obvious surfaces; and I only recently learned about how to access "Display Off". But I knew about the tilting mirrors "OFF" feature in my first week!

I've noticed that when having the A/C on max driving with the sun roof tilted open it blows cool, however upon shutting it it seems the A/C goes into turbo mode. Huge difference. I vape and will crack the roof to vent out the clouds. lol Not sure if this was reported or not but its a huge thread. Apologies if so..

So, for little quirks, has anyone experienced this? 2 quibbles - 1. 1 time only, the heated seat LED quit working. Not sure if the seat was on or off, but a restart of the car fixed it. 2. Twice now, the door lock/unlock on the door handle did nothing even with the key in close proximity, and the FOB did nothing when pressing lock or unlock. The first time I thought it was broken and took the car home which then made it work. The second time, I thought it hung up again, but did eventually lock from the FOB after about 5 to 10 seconds after closing the rear door? Electronic glitch?

rear hatch is fob sensitive it unlocks with the car still locked......mebbe it does something in reverse? Not the gear shifter..... the order of locking.....

I’m with you on finding the plastic. Found this white tape under the audio system head unit on Monday. Can’t believe I hadn’t noticed it over the past 3 months. Also found clear plastic on the very bottom panel under the steering column, and on the side panel next to the accelerator. I’m sure there’s more

An "glitch" of sorts: just discovered that USB drive derived music, on "shuffle", will just pick randomly from the entire array of files on the drive, instead of randomly from the album you are listening to. "Big Bands" shuffled to a track from an "Amethystium" album; if that wasn't jarring! This is stupid unless you just don't care what music pops up next.

Second "discovery" today (tonight, actually) was the way the headlights light up reflective road signs up ahead, above the headlights cutoff. There must be some secondary "halo" of weaker light outside the pool of headlights glow.

A third discovery was how in the dark you may not see that the mirrors have been bumped into the "turned inward" position. When you signal a lane change you get a face full of flashing yellow light from the bottom of the mirrors. I came down Big Cottonwood canyon and didn't see that my mirrors were turned in. Not until I got on the freeway and signaled a left lane change and looked down to see what was behind and to the side of me, did I discover that I couldn't see. A car flashed by on the left and it was like, "Where did he come from!" Then I saw that my mirror was angled inward. I have no idea how that happened.

I think that is the led halo that highlights the signs....I could be wrong.

I was messing around with my mirrors in a parking area....if you hit the switch farthest up on the armrest, it will move the mirrors in..there they will stay until you push the left side of the button....you could of inadvertently moved the mirrors in somehow.....but I was just seeeing if my mirrors angled down while in reverse......the base 2.0 does not....sadly, but I did see the display off button

I swear I tried this on my GT the first few days I had it and it didn't work. Is this a GT1/GT2 thing only?

There's still quite a bit of plastic left inside on my car and it's staying there until it falls off!
