Why not buy both?

LOL

Man I would but the lady would kill me. I already have spent like $2000 on mods between performance and exterior.

My goal was not to go crazy on the car, it was just some mild bolt ons.

I agree both would be sweet!

I really wanted the Wagner intercooler bit it’s like $1100. For the price of that intercooler I could get the AP intercooler and the WMI kit from BMS.

What do you guys think ? Should I go this route ? Do you think the Wagner intercooler is worth it over other competitor?

Needs everyone feedback ....... I just want you honest opinions even if they are different than mine.

The Wagner FMIC will definitely be an improvement over stock, but it's still TBD if it's going to be a $600+ improvement over the AP.

Because I can get AP intercooler $500 + WMI $600 + $1,100.

Or just Wagner Intercooler $1,100.

Maybe Terry will expedite BMS's intercooler and give us a package deal with that + WMI

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Stop it !!! Shit man you are persuading me to get WMI.

I figured WMI could help more when I am tracking but the intercooler would be more beneficial for daily driving.

When I get my ecu tune the intercooler could be accounted for on the tune.

I don’t disagree with you is that is one or the other for me.

WMI is just the better upgrade. As long as you aren't flooring it every stop light it will likely barely get used in day to day driving. From what I know JB4 only kicks it on at certain throttles. It will make your car safer(knock wise), faster, and cooler. It's probably the single best mod if you can get past the downsides.

Refilling it sucks, but with the JB4, it just wont push tons of boost if you forget.

The safety issue of getting into an accident is the big one for me. Not sure if it's as dangerous as people think though...

You can also disable it when you don't need it.

I agree 100%, this is exactly what I been thinking.

My main concern is the safety from an accident perspective. The wife drives the Stinger and we have 2 beautiful daughter's, Lily(4 years) and Lina(1 year).

I know the JB4 is great at managing the WMI, and to me the filling is not a big deal. I would probably keep it empty at all times unless I know I am going to the track.

I just have not been a big fan of it mainly for the safety reason and constantly having my kids with me. I also am not a big fan of having to run the fuel lines inside the car and have to worry if it ever leaks.

This is mainly why I been leaning towards the intercooler.

But I agree I strongly believe the WMI is the better performance mod.

Thanks for your feedback!

I got some thinking to do.......

I got some thinking to do.......
It's highly toxic can cause blindness or death. Can be absorbed through the skin and burns clear. Repeated exposure has a cumulative effect on the central nervous system. I thinkI'lli pass for the .3 it would give me.

That's why I use Ethanol instead. Not toxic.

I am not saying it's not somewhat dangerous but you won't be using pure methanol. Most likely you will be using snow's boost juice which is essentially a 49/50 methanol to water mixture. Windshield washer fluids rated to -20 degrees are generally a 30/70 methanol to water mix. Look at the attachment below. It shows different washer fluids and their methanol %. Some of them are in the 45% range. Again I am not saying you don't need to be careful but don't get it in your eyes or drink it and you will be fine. If you get some on your skin wash it off no big deal. Amazon will ship a 4 gallon box of boost juice to your front door.

Do people still use straight up washer fluid for WMI? I remember when I had an Audi back in the 2000's many people were just tapping their washer fluid reservoir, running a -30F fluid with ~40% meth content, and it was perfectly efficient.

Oh for sure they are. But it's actually cheaper to use other methods.

Other methods like mixing your own water and meth? Washer fluid with high meth content is for sure cheaper than boost juice, but of course you're not reaping 100% of the benefits unless you go full 50/50.

There are other ways. Like buying HEET.

I had the UP intercooler not the AP. Sold the UP intercooler and went back to stock.

Everyone conveniently ignored the importance of this post: why did you sell the UP one?

Was it because it mounts off-center and that bothered you like it would me?

Can it be run off the windshield washer reservoir? Don't need mine all that often here, to the point that I fill my Legacy up one-two times a year, just used to get rid of bugs or dust here and there.. These days I just throw in tap water (rarely see 30s here). How big is the Stinger tank?

You could use the reservoir you would just have to tap into it and run all the lines from it and find a place to mount the pump. I think I dumped a gallon of washer fluid in there so it's at least a gallon.
