3.3TT Intercooler Clamp Boost Leak

The weirdest part about this was that you couldn't just rev the motor up to get the noise, you had to have the engine in gear and not have a high rev. Kept it in comfort mode drove until about 1k rpm then let on the throttle a bit like you are getting onto an on ramp without down shifting. Was not a constant sound. They showed me the damage and it wasn't anything broken, just the blades were bend a little bit.

Of course: you barely build boost in idle. That's on purpose, lol

How much boost or spool were you losing?

BTW, if anyone still has this problem with the IC hose that connects to the drivers side intercooler with the weird clamp, I found just the clamp without having to purchase the whole assembly. I got just the IC inlet hose I needed for $84.14 plus shipping and handling, for a total of $113. Still a lot for one hose but cheaper than buying the entire hot side turbo piping assembly which is closer to $450 to $500.

I found it on KiaPartsNow.com

Here is the video. When you change your intercooler its a good time to properly inspect and torque down all the IC clamps.

Here is the promised video guys hope it helps some people out, can save you a dealer visit.
Hi I am having the same issue occurred after installing CPI kit and went on some spirited drives. Clamps were a little loose. I tightened the 4 that you mentioned in the video and bottom two on each side. Tomorrow I will start the car and hopefully itll fix my issue like it did yours.
