3.3TT Intercooler Clamp Boost Leak

That’s great news? LOL.

Glad you got it sorted out though.
Great news I got it fixed lol without having to go the dealer and great news for those that might have the issue in the future this video could help some people out. I am looking at the cup half full instead of half empty.

Yeah I get it. Just the way you wrote it made me laugh. “Great news! I took off my bumper and found several leaks...”

Can you share what the issue is/was for those who don't want to have to sit thru a video?

@Angel
How do you loosen the clamps 28292 & 28292A?

Nevermind, there is a cap on the screw head

They threw me for a loop the first time I took off my throttle body lol.
They have little caps just remove them with a flat head. The nut is 5/8 I beleive.

The one intercooler clamp that goes to the driver side ic pipe that connect to the intercooler is a little tricky. Just use a flat head and remove from one side first.

I'm getting a high pitch whine from what I suspect is the driver's side inlet to the intercooler. Took off the undercarriage panel on the front side and seen the clips. This was actually really easy to take off and it has a lot of play in it (like your video). Inside the hose is a rubber seal that looks like it should expand a little under pressure, but with the amount of play on the hose, I am certain this is the source of the leak. When you had the leak, did it sound like a supercharger winding up?

That side is a lip seal with a snap ring clamp. As long as the pipes are connected, it's sealed. There will be play - that's fine. The lip seal is pretty forgiving, as long as the pipes are fully engaged. If you can't pull them apart then they are engaged.
Also, if anything after the tubo is leaking then you won't have any boost (or at least, significantly less boost).
Are you running the stock intakes?

Would you possibly classify this sound as somewhat like a police siren?

Like a higher pitch. Only happens after certain pressure obtained when I look at boost gauge.

Yeaaaaa, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that might not be a boost leak... If you look up police siren sounds and turbos, you might want to consider that you've got a turbo going bad. If it happens once your car is warmed up during regular driving, it might be time to take it back to the dealership (assuming you don't have any obviously damning mods).

Happens no matter the temp. I had it scheduled at the dealer. They are going to take it in the morning. I'll update with what they find out.

Let's hope your experience was better than mine, lol

I've bought 2 Stingers, 4 Optimas and a Rio off this dealership. They have taken pretty good care of me on all the cars.

Well... Looks like the turbo had some bent fan blades. They have to replace the turbo.

Bent blades - ouch. Impeller or compressor blades?
Right after the intake box. Said nothing should have gotten into the system at that point, so it turns out just a single turbo needs to be replaced. About $2k worth of repairs, but the dealership is going to take care of it.

The weirdest part about this was that you couldn't just rev the motor up to get the noise, you had to have the engine in gear and not have a high rev. Kept it in comfort mode drove until about 1k rpm then let on the throttle a bit like you are getting onto an on ramp without down shifting. Was not a constant sound. They showed me the damage and it wasn't anything broken, just the blades were bend a little bit.
