All 4. I wanted to get protection coverage and will put the two fronts in bags, set them aside. Lots of tread left on them.Huh? Didn't you say you got some conti's on order? Post #18.
Maybe I misread. Alergy's been killing me all week.
I should probably stop replying after 10pm. Seems brain shuts down
New tires ride well [Continental DWS06 Plus (Sport+)], maybe a tiny bit more squishy in turns. Lower road noise overall, noticably less. For my needs these are great so far.My local Discount Tire [the shop nearest to me is particularly solid] can get the DWS06 Sport (Ultras?) in a few days time, so those are on their way.
I would have liked the Pilot A/S 4 but they're on perpetual backorder right now. Plus they cost more, and I've had continental DWS tires on a past vehicle which were good.
You better believe I bought the tire protection.![]()
I have a new set of DWS06 Plus, and I'm very happy with them as they offer more than enough performance I can use for street, and being a quick tracker, I do know how to drive.New tires ride well [Continental DWS06 Plus (Sport+)], maybe a tiny bit more squishy in turns. I agree, I'm not maxxing my G's turning corners around town.I have a new set of DWS06 Plus, and I'm very happy with them as they offer more than enough performance I can use for street, and being a quick tracker, I do know how to drive.
For me, there's no need to put Ultra High Performance Summers on the Stinger since it's a GT car, and driving it on the street with UHP's will not offer any additional performance benefits except accelerated tire wear, comparitively.
Now for my P-cars, they all have UHP tires and are the appropriate choice for them.
But you know you want to.I agree, I'm not maxxing my G's turning corners around town.
Well, sure if I knew for certain the limits but consequences are too great. I did merge into traffic from a full stop the other day near full throttle, and I'm certain with the other tires I would have kicked the back end out more but these kept the car planted. After a few days on the tires I think they exceed the abilities of the OE all seasons. They definitely ride better, produce less noise overall, and handle at least as well (the handling characteristics are slightly different though, more sidewall flex but more traction/grip from the rubber compound used). The sidewall flex is probably why they ride better (less NVH).But you know you want to.I push to the point of *hiss*, which is fairly often (not on street corners typically, but clover leaf, on-off-ramps, and of course mountain curves). The PS4S blows away my A/S tires.
