If Kia wants to move the brand upmarket they have to FIX THE DEALERS!!!!!!!!!!

I tried 3 different sticks from 2 different brands all the same.

I have less than 1000 miles on my Stinger and it is way worse than my telluride. Going to try buying a magnetic USB cable so I never actually unplug it and see how it does.

I agree with this suggestion. If he’s using an inexpensive cable, that could well be the problem.
I fat thumb every comment i make :P

My dealer experience was pretty good overall. And I had them do quite a few things to get my stinger road ready.

My last ride was a BMW and the dealer I got the car from was flat out awful.

Dealerships are defined by their management. Good managers make an effort to have their staff provide good service. Crappy managers try to maximize profit in the name of their customers.

I tried replacing the cable, I tried another USB stick all the same results. It's an intermittent short that comes and goes. The weirdest thing is that sometimes when the stick is plugged in and the stereo is off it will turn itself on suddenly making my wife jump. I saw other posts on the site that at least 2 other people had the same problem.
You use a USB stick to play music from the USB port? Why not just put the music on your phone and plug it in? I have my music on my samsung S21 and connect it via a short USB cable. music plays great and the phone gets continuous charge. I'm not dumb enough to text while driving so there is no need to touch my phone.

I use a short usb drive, because I have thousands of songs on it. I don’t understand why people are using cables. I can close my door just fine. 329D8806-FA42-4A16-AE3D-CC79CA286CEE.webp

There's no way to use Android auto or Apple carplay if you do that though correct?
I guess? But my phone bluetooths to the car and sends texts that the car reads and I can make calls obviously, all while charging my phone. Not sure what benefit I’d get from CarPlay? Probably reduced audio quality?

Not sure regarding audio quality but given it's hardwired via USB to the phone it should be fine. My sound quality seems fine. I use the android navigation app as it's much better than the Kia app plus I can use apps like waze on the screen for getting around traffic. Also, I also have quite a bit of music on my phone and the music app I use let's me use Playlists which is nice.

There has been a lot of talk about wireless Android Auto or apple carplay but I don't know if even the 2022 has that.

My Bluetooth quit working in my Audi. I've been putting off making an appointment because I've driven less than 100 miles in the last month AND the two Audi dealers closest to me have HORRIBLE waiting rooms for the service dept. They also don't guarantee loaners, although I guess they'd find you one if you push.

My point being, even an "upmarket" dealership can have disappointing service and amenities.
Yo owned an Audi before the stinger. One thing I will say is God is the wait times unbelievable for both. A simple oil change turns into hours on hours of waiting.

However. I typically did just tell them to give me a loaner car of equal value at audi. Go shopping n such eat.

With the kia, I just get picked up and go home until they call me or such live like 10 mins away from said dealership. I have had to fight tooth n nail with warranty claims, however the big owner is a childhood friend. A case of beer warranty claim is forced n voliah.

How I got all my pitted chrome replaced
