I've posted this many times, but not in this thread it appears - the ISG on the Stinger is FAR less intrusive than on other vehicles I've driven that have it, mostly high-end recent model Mercedes - to the point that I don't even bother turning it off.
That said, I did turn on "auto hold" the other day and found ISG to be very irritating in that mode. Not sure what AH is supposed to do, as I am quite used to keeping my foot on a brake pedal when stationary, but the change in ISG is enough to ensure I won't ever bother using AH again.
Specifically, what annoyed me about ISG on other vehicles is that the engine did not restart until you applied pressure to the accelerator. On the Stinger, without AH, it fired up as you released pressure on the brake. That meant as I applied throttle, the engine was already running. With AH engaged, it does not appear to fire up until you start to accelerate - which is what irritated me on those other vehicles.
I've not done any extensive testing on this, but as AH is useless to me, I don't plan on it either..
