I wish I was a canadian...

If they're that easily offended by bashing him, maybe they shouldn't have voted for a f*cking incompetent moron that does the same thing?

There, I'm done; no more bashing the orange baboon, so as not to huwt any wittle repuglican feewings.

Your political comment, while maybe entertaining to half of us, looks eerily similar to this one:

Again, "There's technically no RULE in place as we haven't had any reason to set one - yet - but let's PLEASE keep politics to the topic of automobiles. I really don't want to start getting into conversations that are going to get nasty involving people's political affiliations, favorites, etcetera. Please."

By stating your position that the elected President of the United States of America is:

1. Not an actual adult
2. Cannot form a complete sentence

...you have affectively offended about half the people here. I will not allow it. I will not allow it towards Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama - or any other political figure. There are plenty of other websites you can discuss politics at - and criticize all you want. This is supposed to be a relaxing environment where we don't have one another at odds because of political opinions or affiliations. Again, PLEASE keep the political comments related to the automotive industry...

Are you truly finished? Did you get it out of your system? The Stinger Owners Group is not a place for hate. When you come here, you will leave your hatred at the door. I will not tolerate hate towards race, religious beliefs, sexual preference, political affiliation - or anything else on a personal level...

the guy asked you nicely, apparently twice after you abandoned your other account, and you go and get nasty with the administrator and once again offend what is probably half the people here? what are you thinking? if anything i'd say you're the only one here with hurt feelings.

I applaud your constraint.

Why not purchase one in Canada and import it, then? It can be done! (It's what I've done.) :)

Warranty isn't honored. If you're close to the border I guess you can get the car serviced up there. Otherwise if you're happy with not having warranty then go for it.

I purchased an aftermarket warranty that equals (and in many ways, surpasses) the factory warranty. Not really an issue, especially if you consider the value proposition, extra features, and favorable currency exchange rate (for us Americans, at least).

Well if that's the case then congrats!

You really did me a solid by telling me that the instrumentation also worked in Imperial! I sincerely appreciate that!
You are sincerely welcome ! I'm thrilled it all worked , you have the #1 Stinger in the USA !~!

I hope there are no issues at resale or trade in time.

Resale? Trade-in? What's that? No sir, like they say, this is a dream car...for real life! No plans to ever part with her!

As I told the Canadian salesman at the time of sale...they can shovel the dirt on the car and lower us both into the hole! (Although, I'm in no rush. Hopefully that's an eternity from now.) ;)

On a more serious note, it actually registers as a 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 if you run the VIN anywhere in the USA. I've also had a bunch of dealers tell me that won't be a problem; used American and Canadian cars end up on either side of the border all the time, which is nice.

More like trip to Canada! I had a wonderful visit to Ontario and really enjoyed the whole process. Plus, the Canadian International Auto Show was in Toronto, so it was an absolute hoot. Truly a weekend to remember. I left Canada with a huge grin on my face!

You guys are great. On behalf of the entire US, thanks for being great neighbors. Canada is a wonderful place, and an important part of my Stinger experience! :)

Can I ask you if you had to pay ontario taxes and your local state taxes on the car? Or are the ontario taxes refundable at the border?

I assume you paid cash for the car?

Any trouble importing it across the border?

How much did the aftermarket warranty cost?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm a canadian living in the US. Times like this I wish i was still living in Toronto :P
