I wish I was a canadian...

Yes come to Canada. We have limited freedom of speech, limited right to self defense, a health care system that has the longest wait times in the western world, rations care and has death panels, a tax rate that would make your eyes water, no identifiable culture or national unity, a Prime Minister who lacks balls and hates the Country, and a 6 month winter. But hey, you get a cheaper, more well equipped Kia...
Could be worse I guess , you could live in Australia, we talk too much and no one listens, we have a health care system that works sometimes but it’s not worth the worry, we don’t die too quick so the country is going broke paying pensions, our tax rate is no higher than 30% and goods tax is 10%. We have more immigrants than natural born Aussies. And... we change priministers so often you don’t know who it is. But hey we got Stingers with 360 degree cameras !:D

@MrSting nice going being the first to do this
Could you pls tell me the kia dealer in Ontario you went with?
Wife was leaning on the g70 but due to space concerns w it being a smaller car, she mentioned y not get the canadian stinger for her since it has the 360cam. Plus the exchange rate is awesome currently.
She absolutely need the 360cam. She has had some pretty bizarre parking lot and gas stations damage. We are in Westchester ny so a drive to Ontario isn't bad. In fact a road trip to montreal was my first stinger trip.
We may have 2 stingers in our garage if we feel this process isn't too painful a d we can do it with a 2 yr old in tow.
- safety/emissions compliance documents
- aftermarket warranty
That's really it correct?
Was registering and getting us state plates easy? Or additional DMV forms?
Thanks!
Hi! Sorry for the delay in response. The 360 cameras are incredible. Absolutely the best thing about parking! So I agree, you just have to get the Canadian one. Lol!

I went with Lockwood Kia in Oakville, ON. The staff there were fantastic and extremely friendly. I recommend working with Michael DeFreitas. He did a great job. But you will also need an auto importer. I went with Bernie Ferroni at Dickson Motor Sales in Buffalo, NY. He's also a fantastic guy. You will be dealing with very honest, attentive folks. Then, you may need someone to truck the car to you, unless you feel like picking it up yourself in Buffalo. If not, I have a fantastic trucker who cares for his cargo like his children. He's the owner of Dumanis Trucking, and I can give you his details as well (his name is Oz.)

Unless you feel like paying Ontario sales tax (HST), you should work with Bernie and have the car imported. This means that you will not actually drive the car across the border, and he will acquire a bill of lading to bring it through US Customs. He can tell you more about the process. If you need his contact details, PM me. But he should be fairly easy to find. Also be prepared for the entire importation process to take up to 30 days.

Anyways, that's about it! You'll still pay NY sales tax (no avoiding that), and after 30 days or so, you'll have the car in your possession. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
