How to take apart different pieces (interior)

You wrapped your dash material? Ive seen bad things with that. Wish you luck there.. It looks good though. Did you see those screws for the cluster at the bottom? Theres 2 more I believe at the top.
Yea, testing that spot out to see how itll hold up. So far so good, but i had to pull it tight and make sure there was enough extra to stick to the plastic on the backside. It sticks to the vinyl dash, but not great like normal plastic. I did it to my 95 Eclipse way back in the day and it held up the year or so i had the car lol... i think the bigger piece will be ok as the vents n stuff can help hold the vinyl in place ya know... what kinda bad stuff have you seen?

And yea, i saw 2 screws on either side. By top you mean under the top dash section?? Seems like that would be a pain in the ass to take off :/

So has anybody in this thread removed the cluster yet? I'm needing to do mine as I bought a premium cluster to replace my GT cluster but I'm not wanting to dig into it without knowing the basic procedure first. Don't want to remove anything I don't have to to avoid the chance of rattles, and don't want to break anything thinking it's a "pull to remove" when there is a hidden screw or something.

So, was able to get them off, wasnt able to get the best pics since its raining out right now, garage pics will do for now. Also used my last scrap to cover the little sections to the left of the steering column. Have more material on the way, so will do the big dash section, and think i might try the rear diffusor

You’re doing a very nice job on those pieces. I tried to wrap those rear ones with 3M wrap but couldn’t satisfy my OCD. I’m currently carbon fibre skinning a rear spoiler and the under hood plastic pieces. I think I’m starting to win, the spoiler was a bit of a learning curve but coming along now and I think I’ll be polishing out a couple of the small pieces today. I should have started on those probably would have saved me one of my failed efforts on the spoiler. Anyway great work thx for sharing.

The original poster of this thread says there are 2 on each side, and possible 2 on the top as well... i habe no idea and havnt tackled trying to remove the top of the dash nor do i want to. If thats the case, i wont be trying to CFing that gauge trim lol

So i opted to not remove and cover the gauge cluster piece. Think it might be too much straight across the whole dash. However if this doesnt hold up good during summer, ill remove it and end up doing the cluster to being some CF back to the dash. Been on a week now, no issues... yet... lol.

Come off? Looking to

The center piece comes off in 4 pieces. The larger piece is probably the easiest. Do you have a trim removal tool? I'll look for my diagrams and send them to you tomorrow

I’m looking to pull the door panel (brushed aluminum piece) off. I have tools and wrapped it on the door but it’s not as clean as my OCD would like it to be. The rear ones were a no go as the vinyl was too thick hence the ask.

On the doors, at the bottom corner there is an indent where you can put your trim removal tool in and begin to separate the clips all the way around.

I’m talking the brushed piece around the handle though, not the whole panel f I don’t have to

On the brushed aluminum piece? I don’t see it?

Try this guys channel. I think he’s pretty much taken the whole car apart at one time or another.
Cheers

I took the panel off and used a 8mm drill bit to break the plastic melted rivets. Then you can use a Philips screwdriver for the other parts.

Got it, so I still have to take the panel off and basically break the melted rivet without drilling into the panel..eesh…

I did because those rivets are tough. Just dont drill through your panel.

Ive taking off the middle piece of the center console and wrapped it but the other pieces of the center console are not soo easy. I havent been successful yet. I dont want to pay for the access to find out just yet. If i find out how they come off. I'll make sure to have pics. Here's a pic so far of what I've done
any luck so far because i plan on doing the same thing but with carbon fiber leather vinyl wrap
