How to take apart different pieces (interior)

Also, I would like to see your console to see where it is uneven.
Nvmd. I think I see where it is. Those ends to the center piece that match up to the front piece were a little tricky. Did you make sure your front piece was fully snapped in? Also on top of the shifter underneath the console, theres an area where you can adjust a part of the center console. Not too sure if that would work but its worth looking into for sure. Did you wrap over end pieces that had that felt material?

I barely wrapped around those corners on both sections. Cut away what extra i could but had to make sure there was enough to actually wrap around still ya know.

It didnt bother me and didnt notice much u til the wife said something, now i cant not see it and ita driving me nuts lol. The driver side is mostly flush, the passenger side sticks out more and the main issue :/

One thing I did notice was that design highlights the end pieces more than the piano black. With that car being dark in general, piano black hides well if your not looking for things. Do you have a picture of your center before you wrapped it?

I didnt take pics before hand, wish i would have paid more attention before lol... can u post a pic of yours on that side?

I just took it out, cut away ANY extra that i thought might still be an issue, the original piano black part still sticks out bout 1/16th inch... oh well! It is what it is. Looks way better than the silver, and WAAAAY cheaper than buying the actual CF replacements

Ok, so you have a little bit like mine as well. Must have just been that way to begin with and we didnt notice lol.

Your stuff looks good btw! Im still in awe of you doing those door handle sections. I havnt been worried about taking anytning else apart, but idk bout that. U are brave for sure!!

Have you done the outside at all?
Thank you man. Wrapping is not easy for sure. This is my first time messing with wrapping. The door handles were the first thing I ever wrapped and is probably one of the hardest things I've wrapped yet. I'll have to redo them again when it gets hotter because I didnt let them set for 24 hours before putting them into the cold again. Also, I'm learning how to do inlays as I'm going so I'm messing up with having them too tight or not starting my inlays in the right area. I am getting better and learning so I guess thats a positive. You console also looks good. I thought you posted a picture on my console at first. Haha. keep wapping.

The only thing ive done to the oustide is plastic dip grill, door handle strips, all the chrome trip, front fender vents, hood vent silver piece, and my taillights.

You plastic dipped all that? Just black or what?

I wrapped both front grills(pain in the ass to remove!), front fender vents, mirrors, and gas door in CF(im using high gloss 5D). Then i did the silver piece on the hood vents and the chrome around the doors/windows in gloss black.

Considering doing the small rear fender vents but havnt figured out how to remove them. Would like to do the black diffusor section on the bumper, and maybe get crazy and try the hood in CF! Lol

Yea i did all of that in dip and it took 3 hours total. I did it matte black but the taillights I did 2 light layers of matte black and then 6 coats of gloss. I would like to wrap some pieces like the bumper trim but I havent go there yet. You got pics of your CF wrap on your car?I would lile to see CF 5D upclose

Would like to see what you did with youe taillights!

And here are a few pics, i can take closer ones if you want, these are what i had handy tho...

I just ordered some high gloss 5D Red CF. Hoping it matches the car color good, if it does, im going to redo the fender vents, hood vents, and gas door with that

They have screws in them that you have to access from behind the fenders. Here’s a picture of the back side.19546002-A8E5-4768-8DAC-13E8542AEB42.webp

So doing the light layers kinda gave it a smoked out effect huh? Light passes thru fine still i take it?

Looks sweet! Makes me wanna tint mine now lol
Yea, light passes thru no problem. The key is light coats until you like where its at. After each coat dried, I turned my lights on to check it out. I was a little nervous so I did really light layers and ended up doing 4 coat of matte black. Then I hit it with the gloss around 6- 7 times. It didn't come out a glossy as i wanted to but I'm happy for how it looks. I wonder how it would hold up if I wrapped them first and then hit it with light black a few times? Ill probably experiment this summer with it more. Blacked out my car for under $60 (not including tent).

If you undo the wheelwell, are u able to get to them both? Or does the bumper need to come off?
You don’t have to take anything off. Just stick head under there until you locate the screws undo them them pop the pieces out. Might be easier to back in onto ramps to give you a little more room under there. Good luck.

So, was able to get them off, wasnt able to get the best pics since its raining out right now, garage pics will do for now. Also used my last scrap to cover the little sections to the left of the steering column. Have more material on the way, so will do the big dash section, and think i might try the rear diffusor

You wrapped your dash material? Ive seen bad things with that. Wish you luck there.. It looks good though. Did you see those screws for the cluster at the bottom? Theres 2 more I believe at the top.
