How to remove and replace the rear badge on the Kia Stinger

I really think the method was the key issue not paint or body material ."Sawing" the badge off with fishing line cuts the adhesive between the body and the badge , you have to resist the urge to lift the badge until its completely "cut" , especially on large badges.
I used those hard to find but excellent small gray plastic razor blades from an Auto Parts store..along with the hair dryer and a strong fishing line, since the dental floss kept breaking..you do have to work carefully not to scratch the paint underneath and follow all the helpful instructions..the results are just amazing...especially the cool Stinger script that looks better than Maserati when you are done..since we don't have front plates here, I added another 14 inch Stinger script right on the front bumper as well...niice...

After looking at some videos I have noticed there 2 holes on the back of the stinger when you take the Kia badge off. I am worried that the E badge will not cover both the holes since it is smaller than the Kia badge.
Have you clear siliconed the holes ?

The E badge should cover them, I’m not sure but the top 2 posts on that badge may fit the same holes which would align it perfectly just like you do on the front one.

Yes, there are two holes on the back. However, you are able to cover both holes with the E badge. You just have to break off all of the prongs on the back of the badge before doing so - take a pair of pliers, hold each prong at the base and the prongs twist/break cleanly right off. I filled the holes with a couple drops of silicone to seal them off prior to placing the emblem on.

I have not even purchased my stinger yet. I just like to have everything sorted out before I make the purchase.
Great approach, once you do purchase one you should have all the right information at hand to do the mods you want, hope you don’t have to wait long to get one.

thats what i was worried about i might just get the hair dryer out and do it myself
Theres a tutorial I believe in the DIY section, it's all about preparation. A good quality goo remover really helps to. Good luck.

I used the fishing line saw method and it was pretty simple. Just make sure you saw thoroughly around the two prongs of the badge and it comes off without much of an issue.
