Did this and got the following response - "We can simply send you an activator that you can wipe onto the backing right before sticking the badge to the car. This is how professional bodyshops and dealerships re-apply badges that were previously removed."

Has anyone used an activator for something like this before? Has it worked...?

Try it and if it works then good but really you should get a refund. I suspected that would be his response. The stuff just makes it sticky to touch, most likely it will just fall off. Did you send photos?

Makes more sense for them to send you a refund or a replacement instead of sending you an activator. Why make your customers fix your faulty products?

I did actually. I went back to IS and essentially stated what @robz32 said so I'm waiting on a response now.

Depending on what response is given I will definitely be opening a dispute with PayPal.

well done, they should approve with evidence that you give them and you get to keep the goods. Expect a week to 10 days before they pay out.

This happened to me today also. I did the same method with fish line and goo gone. My guess is that the oval was placed to tight and left its mark in the paint.

    did you find a fix?

Yes, it was actually an easy fix.

I used Meguairs Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish with a foam applicator pad to remove the swirls. You don't need to use a lot of it for such a small surface area.

I used meguairs compound but it really didn’t take the scratch away.

I had the E badge in the back and decided to change it by the Stinger badge.

    just did it today.
