How to install OEM Wireless Charger on your Stinger

Not sure where you saw that. I revisited the listing and I can not find anywhere where it says that it will not ship to the US.

Could You please look at my previous post. Its about installation with non fly wire shifter

Thanks. :)

I'm trying to make the swap myself but ran into issues. I asked for Robz32 input, but could you please also look at my previous post with the pics. I'm trying to install the wireless charge pad without fly by wire shifter. Much appreciated.

Thanks. :)

@Reignman98115 Sorry for the late reply. Just got a chance to get near a computer. From looking at your photos it seems like you may be able to remove the console without having to remove the shifter.

Try putting your car into accessory (do not crank it) and move the shifter all the way down. That should give you enough clearance to move the console backwards. I also notice you have not removed the beauty panel from the sides, which will grant you access to the two bolts that are holding the console.

Done and Done! I did just what you said. Put car in accessory mode and moved the shifter back. Then followed your pics. I unplugged the harness from the tray and climate control (left the climate contol intact) and removed the whole console. Everything was easy from there.

Awesome!!!....Congratulations!!!....It came out great!!

Yes, I firmly believe you are the first one with the non shift by wire to have done the conversion.:thumbup:

So, install only took about an hour and 15 mins. Everything was pretty straightforward. However, is there some magical button or words to get the wireless charger to work? all connections are tight and the car recognizes the usb when I plug in the phone and recognizes the charger in the settings but it does not charge the phone and the qi light does not come on. HELP!!!

Are you sure your phone supports Qi charging? The enable option is in the "Convenience" menu in the instrument cluster settings section. It's an option called "Wireless Charging System" that has a checkbox for on/off.

It’s an IPhone X so it does support wireless charging. The checkbox is set to on.

Wow, this is a great mod, thank you for posting! Something I definitely want to do down the road, but the price of the parts on ebay!! yikes... May just due a small pad hooked up with USB in the current compartment for a much cheaper solution.

This mod is pointless if you plan on using Android Auto or Carplay. The speed of charge while using AA or carplay is the same as what you would get from a low voltage wireless phone charger.

Negative. It is quite useful, as the wireless charger will charge your phone while using AA or CP as it can provide a higher voltage. The USB designated to work with AA or CP can only maintain the charge while you use said apps.

That is not accurate. I have a pixel 2 XL that I use to run Waze and listen to Spotify on my way home with and it does indeed charge at about the same rate as a wireless charger would.
