Seeking How To How daunting is the work for lowering springs?

I read about removing the hib from the axle and that seems to be a better method than removing the axle from the differential.

Now I have to determine what springs to get. I like the Eibach pro look but it might be a little low for my intended use of the car as a daily driver / touring car for road trips. The Ark may be a better choice for me.

I have eibachs and havnt had any issues with pittsburgh city streets. The ride is comfortable and it eliminated the rear end float

Is there a document with the Torque specs for the suspension components? I'm about to tackle this shortly and don't want to just go by feel here. I have seen some very short personal notes people have posted about torque specs but while I'm a decent garage mechanic, I don't know what each bolt or suspension component is by name that well. An image of the suspension with torque specs overlaid would be A+, if anyone wants to assist I would happily create one.

Ok, is there any info/guide on how to go about removing the rear bump stop to trim it? I can probably figure it out but this one part seems to be completely ignored in all discussion and people end up just not doing it.

It’s not worth it. Just leave it alone.

I have a set of H&R springs I’m debating about installing on my own. Been reading the various threads, and also found this vid from Vivid Visual, that I think goes about tackling the front slightly different. For those that have installed on a AWD, do you think this method would help ease some of the installation woes?

It looks like they removed both lower control arms from the hub, and lowered it on a jack in tandem with the spring compressors so you can pull the hub off the strut and then pull it out. Seems fine as long as your spring compressors aren't clunky/ big.

What’s different?
I think just jacking the hub to compress the springs a bit more

Okay cool, thanks. I got some of the smaller ones from Amazon. Been a good decade since I’ve done any suspension work on a car, and I always hated it lol
