Official communication from KIA Global News Room which bring some more precisions. My new take aways:
- Facelift is said to be available in many market world wild this year... (contradicting Car&Driver / Motor Trend etc. ) and contradicting KIA US web site " Stating:
- All 21MY Stinger
- Carryover from 20MY
- Add red interior to V6 Panthera Gray models
This is a huge disappointment; our Saab is super reliable mechanically (I thrash the thing hard visiting the rev limiter constantly, heel-toeing twisty roads, etc. and am still on the original clutch) but the accessories including AC, window regulators, and various other components are starting to break down constantly as I wait for several makes (Kia, Subaru, BMW) to get their refreshes out. I can't wait much longer for Kia to get the Stinger right because I am sick of dealing with backordered Saab parts.

Genesis played it super safe with the G70 to the point where visually it was quite boring and unremarkable. The only thing that stood out was the boomerang they slapped on the side, which personally I thought was ugly and almost felt like a last minute addition after realizing how plain the whole car looked.
Agreed!
When my fiance and I looked at the G70, I loved the mechanicals, and the upholstery, but the dashboard, the body lines... it was "nice" but not "wow" - granted, it's far better in the flesh than in photos, but Hyundai tried so hard to not offend anyone with it, that the car looks a bit milquetoast. The performance is a different matter - slightly better than the Stinger, which is to be expected with the slightly shorter length, slightly lighter, etc.
The "Boomerang" is a bit cliche, like it's trying to be a Caddy, but I appreciate that it's functional rather than fake so I can give the boomerang a pass. I think eliminating the chrome in favor of Stinger's dark chrome, or even making the G70 "murdered out" would be a huge improvement. I do prefer the G70's feature set including Blue Link with geofencing, vehicle locator, remote climate control adjustment (great for days when it dips below zero or the car is covered in 3' of snow in Maine)... but the only thing we truly liked better about the styling in the G70 is the diamond stitching/quilting of the seats, which the Stinger refresh is apparently getting.
But alas... as usual the US gets a bum deal on the Stinger. Again. The S4 is looking like more of an option (and BMW now that they're finally keeping their promise to offer Android Auto) if Kia doesn't get their
