[HELP]Weird button under dash

Do you have a picture of your window sticker and any additional stickers that were next to it?

The plot thickens, I wouldn’t be happy seeing this if I hadn’t authorised aftermarket additions.

I'd be all over the dealer about that.

Nothing but OEM stickers.

Yeah, gonna take a trip to the dealer tomorrow.

That's exactly what it is, but why?

I figured they were just test drive miles... I hope so.

Good luck at the dealer & don’t take any of their BS, spin or we did you a favour reteric, if its not an approved addition by you the purchaser you need to be compensated.

The only thing I can think of is someone asked for it then backed out. I just can't imagine they're drilling holes in all of their cars and leaving parts behind.

This is very interesting.
I wonder how they will explain it.

Did you test drive before buying? If you had chosen to not purchase the car could the dealer have still sold the vehicle as new or would they have to call it "used-test driven"?
Of course it's still new.

Yes, sorry, of course it is, but I would not buy a vehicle with 40 miles on it because we all know how these are being driven.

I bet this one was sold, the "owner" had them put something on (or had the dealer do it), but financing fell thru.

Was talking with a dealer the other day about a purchaser who just left a car in a parking lot, keys in it, and walked away....

Interesting, cut the blue wire or cut the red wire? Is it ticking? Was there supposed to be an earth shattering kaboom   ;)

Just a question, we’re you high “risk” on your credit check? My buddy was when he got his Toyota Corolla and the only way the banks would approve a loan was if there was a GPS tracker installed. Anyways since your car was brand new, pull into the dealership and find out what sorcery that is.

It's a " Always there for you" button. Never be lonely again.

Maybe an ignition lockout? It used to be common for dealers to install these things (and then make you pay for the key), but I thought that practice stopped in the 90s or so. They offered zero theft protection, since all you had to do was reconnect the original ignition wires.

NO! NO! It's an ejection seat button. The sunroof opens and you are ejected in the event of an emergency. Use with extreme caution as there is no parachute in lower trim models.

US models don’t come with the ejector seats unfortunately.

Maybe U.S. drivers are better and don't need ejections seats?
